【題目】 Day One
I've had an OK day today. I got up at 12 midday, ate cookie crisp for breakfast. Mum went out to not-far-away Tesco (樂購(gòu)) during the afternoon. I wasn't on my own for too long though. Mum only bought food for lunch. At about 6:30, I had a microwaveable pizza and crinkle chips. I went upstairs, finished off my English homework. I listened to Avril Lavigne and Dido for a while, came back downstairs at about 7:15 and came onto the Internet.
Day Two
I woke up at 10:45. Mum and I went into town. After that, we phoned mum's friend and her daughter (my friend) to ask if we could come round, as we hadn't seen each other for months! We stayed at our friend's house for an hour and a half --- during that time my friend and I surfed the Internet. After that we went to Tesco to get dinner ---- microwave Indian meal for three (mum, dad,me).
Day Three
I woke up at 2 pm, and so did my mum. We went to Tesco at 3:30 p. m. ---- where mum kept meeting her friends, and we chatted for 2 hours! When we got home, it was already time for dinner(sausage, egg and chips). Afterwards, I did more homework until 9 p. m. ---- and I'm not joking!

One little miracle (奇跡) has been happening to me recently, and it gives me a special joy.
A few months ago, I was telling my daughter, Sally, some stories about my mother. My daughter was so young when my mother died that she doesn't remember her well. I told her all I could remember, like how wonderful my mother was and how much she meant to me.
One day, Sally was sad because her grandmother was in heaven (天堂) and she couldn't see her. I explained that though her grandmother was dead, now she was still watching over us and could send us something to let us know she was there. She could be anywhere, even riding invisibly (看不見地) on the back of a butterfly (蝴蝶). Just after I said this, a butterfly flew down right by us, and we laughed happily.
Now many people would say it was just luck that the butterfly flew down at that time. A funny thing, however, has happened since then. Every time I go out in any type of weather I see butterflies. Very often they fly right by my face to get my attention. I always say hi to Mom, send her my love, and thank God for little miracles.
Everyone is always looking for some big miracles to come out and save them when they are in trouble, but they don't notice the little miracles that happen every day right in front of their eyes. I know what they really are, however. For me little miracles are the best kind. So many little miracles happen around me all the time that I know they are not just luck.

(4)Which can be the BEST title for this passage?

【題目】Answer the questions.
Millions of film viewers are excited about the Indian movie Dangal (《摔跤吧爸爸》), not just because it’s a well-produced move. It’s the true story of an Indian father, Mahavir Phogat, who trained his daughters to become the best wrestlers (摔跤選手) of the country when women weren’t even considered (認(rèn)為) to be able of wrestling.
Phogat’s inspiration to train his daughters to become wrestlers came from Karnam Mall-eswari, the first Indian woman to win an Olympic medal. Phogat thought his girls can lead the country in women’s wrestling if he trained them properly. So he gave up his job and taught them all the tricks he knew from his own experience as a wrestler. The girls, Geeta and Babita, started their training by running in the farm every day.
Since there were no other female wrestlers in the village, the girls had to compete with the boys. However, the villagers laughed at them and told them to go back home for wrestling was a “male” sport.
However, Phogat didn’t listen to any of this. Eventually, he took his girls to the Sports Authority (部門) of India, where they trained under professional coaches.
And the outcome of all this blood and sweat? History was made.
In 2010, Geeta Phogat became the first Indian woman to win a gold medal in the 55kg freestyle women’s wrestling at the Commonwealth Games. Babita Phogat finished with a silver medal. In 2012, Geeta became the first Indian woman to win a bronze (銅) medal at World Wrestling Championship. Babita won her first gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
The Phogat sisters have shown that women can stand out at any sport if they put their heart and hard work into it. They have also proved that wrestling is not just a man’s sport.
This is one of the main reasons why I think Dangal is going to be one of the most important movies of the year. It’s a message of encouragement to all the women who have been working hard to achieve their dreams.
【1】The film Dangal is based on a true story in India, isn’t it?
【2】What did Mahavir Phogat do to train his daughters?
【3】Why did the villagers laugh at Phogat and his daughters?
【4】How have the Phogat sisters proved that women can also be good at sports?
【5】Why does the writer think the film Dangal is going to be one of the most important movies of the year?
【6】In your opinion, who helped the Phogat sisters achieve their dreams? Give your own reason.

What season is it in October? If you ask people from the UK, they will tell you it's "autumn". 【1】 Why does this season have two names in English? According to Dictionary. com, both words have been around for a long time, but neither of them was the first to describe this season. During this season, crops(莊稼)would become ripe(成熟)and farmers would have a big harvest(豐收). 【2】
Then, in the 1600s, more people left their farms and moved to cities. With fewer people farming, the word "harvest" became less useful. 【3】 They knew leaves fell from trees during the season, so people started calling it "the fall of the leaf', or "fall" for short.
【4】 It gradually replaced(替代)"fall" as the word for this season.
At the same time, British people were making their first trips to North America. They brought both the words "fall" and "autumn" with them. 【5】

B. The season in October is autumn.
C. But at the end of the 1600s, "autumn" from the French word, came to England.
