Hello, everyone. It's nice to speak about that we can do for our school, and I think small actions can make big difference. The first thing we can do is to make our campus more beautifully. Every one of them may plant a tree in the school or to organize a thorough cleaning on the campus. We can also form a good habit of putting rubbishes into trashcans. Never forget to turn off the lights and close the doors. We should not leave the tap water run or waste any materials in the laboratory class. In that case, I believe we'll turn our school in a better place to study and live in. How I wish we can enjoy a better school life!
Thank you for listening!
【答案】that→what
make后加a
beautifully→beautiful
them→us
rubbishes→rubbish
and→or
run→running
in→into
can→could
根據(jù)分析about后面為賓語(yǔ)從句,從句中缺少賓語(yǔ),表示“做些什么”, 應(yīng)使用what引導(dǎo),而that為從屬連詞,不充當(dāng)成分無(wú)實(shí)意。故that改為what。
固定短語(yǔ)make a big difference表示“對(duì)……有很大的影響,對(duì)……很重要”。故make后加a。
此處用形容詞作賓語(yǔ)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ),make our campus more beautiful意思是“讓我們的校園更美麗”。
故them改為us。
根據(jù)上文選擇連詞or可知此處承前省略了情態(tài)動(dòng)詞may,因此to多余。
根據(jù)本句句意及邏輯關(guān)系可知,turn off the lights和close the doors為選擇關(guān)系應(yīng)用or。故and改為or。
固定短語(yǔ)turn sth. into“將……變成”,故in改為into。
句意:我多么希望我們能享受一個(gè)更好的學(xué)校生活! wish 后接賓語(yǔ)從句時(shí),從句謂語(yǔ)通常要用虛擬語(yǔ)氣:若表示與將來(lái)事實(shí)相反,用could / would+ / might+動(dòng)詞原形。故can改為could。

Two years ago, I was in great depression. I worked hard at learning the piano and devoted all my spare time to practice it. But I fail to pass the B Level Test, which made me quite disappointing. So I turned to my grandpa for suggestions when I got home. Hearing that I told him, he smiled. Then he said, “Test results sometimes cannot show my real ability and level. Thus, your progress should not judged only by one test.” He encouraged me to study harder to the next year’s B Level Test. I took my grandpa’s advices. Now the certificate of B Level is in the front of me, and I’ve realized that the process of learning are more important.

Living with your parents has its benefits at least when it comes to raising your kids― their grandkids. Two new studies add to the evidence that grandmothers can enhance the survival of grandchildren. That is, unless grandma's too old or lives too far away.
Humans are unusual in that the females live long past the age at which they stop having babies. Patrick Bergeron, professor of biology at Bishop's University in Quebec, said that most of the organisms will reproduce up to their very last moment. This increase is often explained by the so-called "grandmother effect". He thinks there could still be a benefit for women who stop having babies to increase their genetic footprint by helping their daughters to raise larger families.
To explore the "grandmother effect" hypothesis (假設(shè)),Bergeron and his colleagues examined nearly 200 years' worth of French-Canadian population records from the 17th and 18th centuries. "At the time, life was tough. In some years, a third o the kids were not even making it to one year of age.” But the researchers found that having a grandmother still alive was a definite plus."Families with grandmothers alive were larger by about two and the survival of these grandchildren to age 15 was much improved."
This beneficial effect was only seen when the matriarchs (女家長(zhǎng))lived nearby. That role is tougher for them to fulfills as they get older in poor health, which brings us to the second study. The researchers found that the benefits associated with having a grandmother on hand depended on her age. Once manna hit 75, the grandchild survival benefit disappeared. This was almost certainly due to some form of indirect resource competition, though, rather than wickedness (邪惡)on the part of co- resident grandmothers.
So a healthy grandma helps make for a healthy grandchild. If ',over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house" isn't too long a trip.
【1】What's the second paragraph mainly about?
A.Differences between animals and human beings.
B.Disadvantages of living with grandmas
C.Grandmothers' influence on the kids.
D.What's called“grandmother effect”.
【2】How does the writer describe about the French-Canadian population more than three hundred years ago?
A.By voicing opinions.B.By providing facts.
C.By giving examples.D.By telling stories.
【3】What can we infer from the second study?
A.Society should be concerned about the old women.
B.Grandmothers over 75 years old are unwilling to help.
C.Some grandmothers may occupy kids' relative recourses.
D.Some grandmothers are getting wicked after they are old.
【4】Which of the following can be the most helpful grandmother according to the passage?
A.A healthy one living nearby. ,
B.A healthy one living abroad.
C.An old one living in a nursing home.
D.A knowledgeable one living together.

I never knew anyone who’d grown up in Jackson without being afraid of Mrs. Calloway, our librarian. She ran Jackson’s Carnegie Library absolutely by herself. SILENCE in big black letters was on signs hung everywhere. If she thought you were dressed improperly, she sent you straight back home to change your clothes. I was willing; I would do anything to read.
My mother was not afraid of Mrs. Calloway. She wished me to have my own library card to check out books for myself. She took me in to introduce me. “Eudora is nine years old and has my permission to read any book she wants from the shelves, children or adults,” Mother said.
Mrs. Calloway made her own rules about books. You could not take back a book to the library on the same day you’d taken it out; it made no difference to her that you’d read every word in it and needed another to start. You could take out two books at a time and two only. So two by two, I read library books as fast as I could go, rushing them home in the basket of my bicycle. From the minute I reached our house, I started to read. I knew this was extreme happiness, knew it at the time.
My mother shared this feeling of mine. Now, I think of her as reading so much of the time while doing something else. I remember her reading a magazine while taking the part of the Wolf in a game of “Little Red Riding Hood” with my brother’s two daughters. She’d just look up at the right time, long enough to answer—in character —“The better to eat you with, my dear,” and go back to her place in the magazine article.
【1】Which of the following best describes Mrs. Calloway?
A.Quiet.B.Considerate.
C.Boring.D.Strict.
【2】What do the underlined words “this feeling” refer to in the last paragraph?
A.Interest in games.B.Love for Mrs. Calloway.
C.Desire to read.D.Fear of the library rules.
【3】Where is the text probably from?
A.A guidebook.B.An autobiography.
C.A news report.D.A book review.
