It’s Nice to be Home
1. I have been fortunate enough to make trips to many countries. They were wonderful adventures filled with new sights and experiences. And my wife and I have another trip in the planning stages.
We're home now and have settled back into our daily routine of life.2. I find that when I am at home, particularly for a while when we have just returned from a trip,I feel very comfortable.Perhaps it is because everything around me is familiar and the daily routine is so much the same I can move through it almost without thinking.3.Perhaps it is because we can have meals at home instead of always being in restaurants, although it's nice to let someone else do the cooking, and because I can sleep in my own bed. There are times I think it would be nice to simply stop travelling and stay home and I'm stile I would be very comfortable if that were to happen. 4.
Yet I guess I am probably a restless soul because I know that after I have been home for a while I will start to think about other places we might go and other things we want to see.We will travel again and we feel fortunate to be able to do so.5. Still, one of the best things about travelling for me is coming home.I'm very comfortable here at home even if it is difficult to say exactly why.
A.I like to travel very much.
B.I enjoy local food while travelling.
C.I like being home, for whatever reason.
D.Perhaps it is because our friends are here.
E.And I enjoy my daily life at home so much.
F.We want to see as much of the world as we can.
G.It’s lucky that my wife and I both love travelling.

Everybody knows about lots of relatively easy things on weight loss. 1. However, if you have ever tried some before without success, then the following guides could be more useful for your life.
There’s no magical diet.
We often think that if we can just discover the “right” kinds of foods, we’ll magically lose weight or maintain what we’ve lost. In fact there doesn’t seem to be any “right” diet, and there doesn’t seem to be any evidence that one particular diet will work better with an individual’s body. __2.
Dieting gets the better of exercising.
It is said that exercise is the key to weight loss—taking the stairs instead of the elevator will make a difference, for instance. 3. Decreasing food intake is much more effective than increasing physical activity to achieve weight loss. Of course, both together would be even better.
Work harder than other people.
Exercise may not help go back to what it was before you gained weight. So if you’ve been overweight and you lose weight, maintaining that loss means you’re probably going to have to work harder than other people. Building muscles can help your body burn a few more calories. 4. It seems unfair, but that’s the way it is.
5.
For energy balance, it’s the number of calories that counts. It’s certainly true at least in theory and sometimes in practice. You can gain weight eating too much healthy food as well as unhealthy food. So the point is not to question what a calorie is, but rather to understand that we need to exchange the calorie-packed foods for foods that are less calorie-dense and more nutritionally dense.
A. All calories are created equal.
B. Some of them are also extremely effective when actually carried out.
C. A calorie is a calorie!
D. We know pretty much that any diet will work if you follow it.
E. However, it’s much more efficient to cut calories.
F. Some of the calories we burn come from our basic exercise.
G. However, it’s also likely that you’ll have to do more in the long run.

Many people believe that that dogs should not be kept in large cities. They say that pet dogs should be banned because they are dangerous to man since they carry diseases and that they attack people especially young children.__ 1.__ For example, they eat large quantities of food that could go to feed the poor and the starving of the world. What’s more , many people spend large amounts of money on their dogs ,even buying them beds and toys, taking them to doctors when they are sick ,burying them in pet cemeteries when they die. 2._
However I disagree with these arguments.many animals carry diseases than dogs .In fact people carry more diseases than dogs._ 3._ And if they are it is because they have attacked or frightened the dog. As for money spent on dogs , what people do with their money is their own business..Finally there will always be the poor in the world .
Let us now look at why dogs are good animals. 4.__ They can also help the police to search for drugs and explosives(炸藥).In addition, dogs are able to save people’s lives after an earthquake when they are buried under fallen buildings. What’s more, dogs are used to protect property(財產(chǎn)) as well as woman and children. __5.__
For all these reasons I believe that pet dogs should not be banned from cities.
A. They are used by the police to catch criminals(罪犯).
B. What’s more, very few people are attacked by dogs.
C. Finally dogs are used to guide the blind in the streets.
D. Some owners even leave them their money when they die
E. The British spend more on their dogs than they do on themselves
F. In addition, they are of the opinion that dogs are expensive to keep
