根據(jù)短語(yǔ)arrange for sb. to do表示“安排某人做……”,故arranged之后加for

根據(jù)短語(yǔ)be located in表示“位于,坐落于”,此處分析句子結(jié)構(gòu)可知在句中做非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞,應(yīng)用located in做狀語(yǔ)。故locating改為located。

故was改為is。

故our改為their。

根據(jù)短語(yǔ)make sth. easy表示“使……很容易”,easy是形容詞做賓補(bǔ)。故easily改為easy。

6.考查形容詞。此處修飾名詞English 應(yīng)用形容詞fluent,表示“流利的”。故fluently改為fluent

7.考查介詞。根據(jù)短語(yǔ)have no trouble (in) doing sth.

故the改為an。

故that改為which。

Two years ago, Li Yuhua's daughter taught her how to shop online. Since then, the 51-year-old farmer in Wushan has been a regular online shopper. Shoppers like Li Yuhua are the new target for China's ecommerce giants, including Alibaba Group, which operates the Taobao platform, and JD.com. Rural China added 3 million more Internet users in the first half, taking the total number to 225 million, or 26.3%, of the country's total Internet population of 854 million, according to a report on rural ecommerce development released last week by the China International Electronic Commerce Center. That helped improve rural online sales in the first half of the year by 21% to 777.1 billion yuan (US$109.6 billion), outpacing the national growth rate by 3.2 percentage points.

'However, it is a little bit early to say that China's ecommerce battlefield is moving to rural China, ' said Chen Tao, a senior analyst at consultancy Analysys. Unlike urban residents, most rural Chinese haven’t experienced ecommerce shopping. While that provides online platforms with one of the last undeveloped markets for ecommerce, progress has been slow due to the lack of infrastructure(基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施)and logistics(物流)support.

To address that problem, China's second-largest ecommerce operator, JD.com hired more deliverymen and tested drone(無(wú)人機(jī)) delivery services to improve service in rural China. Alibaba Group, China's largest ecommerce player, announced in April last year that it had invested US$717 million in Huitongda Network Co., which helps to boost sales in 15,000 towns across 18 provinces.

Another inhibiting factor in the development of rural ecommerce is the income gap. In 2018, annual per capita disposable income(人均可支配收入)in rural areas was 14,600 yuan (US$2,065) compared with 39,300 yuan (US$5,559) in cities. 'Lower disposable incomes in rural areas limit the consumption,' said analyst Chen. 'It also takes time to educate rural residents to accept ecommerce services as most of them are new to online. There is still a long way to go to popularize online shopping in rural China.'

My mother used to ask me what is the most important part of the body. Through the years I would guess at what I thought was the correct answer.

When I was younger, I thought sound was very important to us as humans, so I said, “My ears, Mommy.” She said, “No. Many people are deaf. But you keep thinking about it and I will ask you again soon.”

Several years passed before she asked me again. Since making my first attempt, I had contemplated (仔細(xì)考慮) the correct answer. So this time I told her, “Mommy, sight is very important to everybody, so it must be our eyes.” She looked at me and told me, “You are learning fast, but the answer is not correct because there are many people who are blind.”

Over the years, Mother asked me a couple more times and always her answer was, “No, but you are getting smarter every year, my child.”

Then last year, my Grandpa died. Everybody was hurt. Everybody was crying. My Mom looked at me when it was our turn to say our final good-bye to Grandpa. She asked me, “Do you know the most important body part yet, my dear?”

I was shocked when she asked me this now. I always thought this was a game between her and me. She saw the confusion on my face and told me, “This question is very important. It shows that you have really lived your life.” I saw her eyes well up with tears. She said, “My dear, the most important body part is your shoulder.”

I asked, “Is it because it holds up your head?”

She replied, “No, it is because it can hold the head of a friend or loved one when they cry. Everybody needs a shoulder to cry on sometimes in life, my dear. I only hope that you have enough love and friends that you will have a shoulder to cry on when you need it.”

Then and there I knew the most important body part is not a selfish one. It is sympathetic to the pain of others.

1Why did the writer first think “ears” were the most important part of body?

A.Because he thought that the sound was sweet to hear.

B.Because he thought that the sound was essential to humans.

C.Because he thought that the sound can be heard by people.

D.Because he thought that the sound can pass through quickly.

2What happened to the writer’s family last year in the passage?

A.His house was burnt.

B.His mother left home.

C.His grandpa passed away.

D.His father was hurt in an accident.

3Where did the writer get the correct answer from his mother?

A.At home.B.At the school.

C.At the station.D.At the funeral.

4What can we learn from the passage?

A.We should learn to understand others’ pain.

B.We should listen to our mothers’ words.

C.We should hold up our head high.

D.We should often cry in life.

Better Engagement

Keeping learners engaged throughout the training is one of the key struggles. One of the strengths of E-Learning is the diverse nature in which the course content is delivered. 4 Some online learning communities allow trainers to provide multimedia recording to make training more engaging. Here's a story I collected from a total stranger.

“Well, I am Lucy. I was 11 when my family arrived at Fern lake overlook on Trail Ridge road in Rocky mountain national park.

It was so beautiful to look miles across the Rockies and thousands of feet below into the valley.

My parents were busy getting lunch out of the trunk so I climbed over the wooden fence to get closer to the cliff edge for a better view.

I started down a little hill but soon started sliding on loose rocks.

I fell on my butt (屁股), but kept going faster and faster to what seemed the edge of the world (a 2,000 foot drop). In seconds I knew I was going to die. My feet and legs went first over the edge at a high speed. Then suddenly I felt two hands push hard on my chest and stopped me dead. My heart was racing and I slowly inched my body back to where I finally could make it back up the hill.

My father was waiting there and screaming at me for doing such a dangerous act.

I tried to tell him and my mom about the hands that saved my life, but to this day they don't believe me. They thought I was just trying to get out of trouble with a made up story.”

We parted ways, but I assured her that I believed every word of her story.
