It’s fun to get presents. It also feels good to give to others. So what’s the best way to budget (預算) your money and shop wisely(明智地)? Susan Beacham has some advice.
    “My first tip is to make a list,” says Beacham. She suggests that kids talk with their families about to whom they should give gifts and how much they should spend.
    Take the list with you to the store. “Make sure that you do the maths,” says Beacham. “If you spent $30 on someone you were going to spend $25 on, you’re going to have to spend $5 less on somebody else.”

What to do if you just can’t stop buying things once in a mall? The answer is pretty easy – bring only a small amount(數(shù)量) of money with you. If you see something more expensive that you really want to buy, wait a few days and see if you’re still thinking about it. Chances are, you won’t even remember it.
     Do you have enough money? If not, make changes. And don’t forget – not everyone needs a store-bought gift. Some of the best presents are free.

Mineral Oil

  The world needs large amount of mineral oil because it is a very useful fuel. Many different kinds of oil are always in use; aircraft need finer oil than cars or trains.

  Engineers in many countries drill the ground for oil. A lot of it comes from Saui Abrabia, Iraq and so on. The oil is taken away in big tankers. Some of the latest tankers are ships of 2000,000 tons. They are bigger than the Queen Mary and the Queen Elizabeth.

  The mineral oil in the ground is petroleum.Very often there is gas with it,and both are under pressure.The oil cannot escape because rock or clay holds it down;but it can escape when the drill makes a hole. Then the oil sometimes rushes up the hole and rises high into the air above the ground.

  The natural gas itself is very useful. In some countries it flows through pipes to different cities. There it is useful for heating houses and other buildings. Lately some natural gas has been found under the sea near England and the Netherlands. It will be useful for heating buildings in those cold countries.
