Forgiveness
To forgive is a virtue, but no one has ever said it is easy. When someone has deeply hurt you, it can be extremely difficult to let go of your hate. However, forgiveness is possible, and it can be surprisingly good for your physical and mental health. People who forgive show less sadness, anger and stress and more hopefulness, according to a recent research.
 小題1:  Try the following steps:
Calm yourself.   小題2:   You can take a couple of breaths and think of something that gives you pleasure: a beautiful scene in nature, or someone you love.
Don’t wait for an apology. Many times the person who hurt you does not intend to apologize. They may have wanted to hurt you or they just don’t see things the same way.   小題3:    Keep in mind that forgiveness does not necessarily mean becoming friends again with the person who upset you.
Take the control away from your offender(冒犯者). Rethinking about your hurt gives power to the person who caused you pain. Instead of focusing on your wounded feelings, learn to look for the love, beauty and kindness around you.
小題4:   If you understand your offender, you may realize that he or she was acting out of unawareness, fear, and even love. You may want to write a letter to yourself from your offender’s point of view.
Don’t forget to forgive yourself.   小題5: But it can rob you of your self-confidence if you don’t do it.
A.Why should you forgive?
B.For some people, forgiving themselves is the biggest challenge.
C.Recognize the benefits of forgiveness.
D.Try to see things from your offender’s point of view.
E. How should you start to forgive?
F. If you wait for people to apologize, you could be waiting an awfully long time.
G. To make your anger die away; try a simple stress-management skill.

When I walked into the house after school, the first thing I noticed was a box with items I recognized from my dad’s office. When he told me that he was laid off, I thought he was joking. Then I noticed his seriousness and realized he was telling the truth. My father has always been a hard worker. He has prided himself on his career. 小題1: I guess I had taken his work for granted.

小題4: He explained that he never wanted to be laid off again, so he was going to start his own business. Day by day, I watched him build it. One evening I asked if he needed help. “Only if it doesn't affect school,” he said. I showed up at his office the next afternoon, and most afternoons after that for two months.
小題5:  The terrible experience for our family taught me how to deal with difficulties. Now I know that through creative problem-solving, I can always find Plan B. I can ask for help and take risks. What I have learned from my dad’s understanding of business and his work ethic(信條)are two of the most important lessons I will ever learn. And they will be my principles for success.

I often quarrel about my mother over whether I can watch TV after school. She holds view that senior three students have to make fully use of every minute to work hard at their lessons. It seems to me that once I am allowed to do that, I’ll unable to control myself and forget all about my study. She also thinks it is bad for my eye. But I really can’t accept her ideas. In my opinion, watch TV can set my mind at rest after a day’s hard works. Besides, it is important for us to know what had happened both at home and at abroad. Thus, we shouldn’t be forbidden to watch TV.
