分析 復(fù)活節(jié)是一個(gè)快樂的節(jié)日,在這個(gè)節(jié)日里孩子們可以尋找復(fù)活節(jié)彩蛋.

解答 答案:D.
分析句子成分可知,a happy holiday 為先行詞,后面的句子為定語(yǔ)從句,從句中缺少表示時(shí)間的狀語(yǔ),故用when引導(dǎo);hunt for尋找.

5.I lost my sight when I was four years old by falling off a box car in a freight yard in Atlantic City and landing on my head. Now I am thirty-two.I can slightly remember the brightness of sunshine and what color red is.It would be wonderful to see again, but a calamity(災(zāi)難)can do strange things to people. It occurred to me the other day that I might not have come to love life as I do if I hadn't been blind.I believe in life now.I am not so sure that I would have believed in it so deeply, otherwise.I don't mean that I would prefer to go without my eyes.I simply mean that the loss of them made me appreciate the more what I had left.
Life,I believe, asks a continuous series of adjustments to reality. The more readily a person is able to make these adjustments, the more meaningful his own private world becomes. The adjustment is never easy.I was totally confused and afraid. But I was lucky. My parents and my teachers saw something in me-a potential to live, you might call it-which I didn't see,and they made me want to fight it out with blindness.
The hardest lesson I had to learn was to believe in myself. That was basic. If I hadn't been able to do that,I would have collapsed and become a chair rocker on the front porch for the rest of my life. When I say belief in myself I am not talking about simply the kind of self confidence that helps me down an unfamiliar staircase alone. That is part of it.But I mean something bigger than that:an assurance that I am,despite imperfections,a real, positive person; that somewhere in the sweeping, intricate(錯(cuò)綜復(fù)雜的) pattern of people there is a special place where I can make myself fit.
It took me years to discover and strengthen this assurance. It had to start with the simplest things.Once a man gave me an indoor baseball.I thought he was making fun of me and I was hurt."I can't use this."I said."Take it with you,"he urged me,"and roll it around."The words stuck in my head."Roll it around!"By rolling the ball I could hear where it went. This gave me an idea how to achieve a goal I had thought impossible:playing baseball. At Philadelphia's Overbrook School for the blind I invented a successful variation of baseball. We called it ground ball.
All my life I have set ahead of me a series of goals and then tried to reach them, one at a time.I had to learn my limitations. It was no good trying for something that I knew at the start was wildly out of reach because that only invited the bitterness of failure.I would fail sometimes anyway but on the average I made progress.

4.Grown-ups are often surprised by how well they remember something they learned as children but have never practiced ever since.A man who has not had a chance to go swimming for years can still swim as well as ever when he gets back in the water.He can get on a bicycle after many years and still ride away.He can play catch and hit a ball as well as his son.A mother who has not thought about the words for years can teach her daughter the poem that begins"Twinkle,twinkle,little star"or remember the story of Cinderella or Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
One explanation is the law of overlearning, which can be stated as follows:Once we have learned something, additional learning trials increase the length of time we will remember it.
In childhood we usually continue to practice such skills as swimming,bicycle riding,and playing baseball long after we have learned them.We continue to listen to and remind ourselves of words such as"Twinkle,twinkle,little star"and childhood tales such as Cinderella and Goldilocks.We not only learn but overlearn.
The multiplication tables(乘法口訣表)are an exception to the general rule.that we forget rather quickly the things that we learn in school,because they are another of the things we overlearn in childhood.
The law of overlearning explains why cramming(突擊學(xué)習(xí))for an examination,though it may result in a passing grade,is not a satisfactory way to learn a college course.By cramming,a student may learn the subject well enough to get by on the examination,but he is likely soon to forget almost everything he learned.A little overlearning,on the other hand,is really necessary for one's future development.

67.What is the main idea of Paragraph 1?A
A.People remember well what they learned in childhood.
B.Children have a better memory than grown-ups.
C.Poem reading is a good way to learn words.
D.Stories for children are easy to remember.
68.The author explains the law of overlearning byD.
A.presenting research findings
B.setting down general rules
C.making a comparison
D.using examples
69.According to the author,being able to use multiplication tables isA.
A.a(chǎn) result of overlearning
B.a(chǎn) special case of cramming
C.a(chǎn) skill to deal with math problems
D.a(chǎn) basic step towards advanced studies
70.What is the author's opinion on cramming?B
A.It leads to failure in college exams.
B.It's helpful only in a limited way.
C.It's possible to result in poor memory.
D.It increases students'learning interest.
