They couldn’t get around me because of the stream of passing traffic. But instead of getting impatient and angry, they waited, knowing the driver in front of them was in some way weak.

Sometimes situations call for us to act strong and brave even when we don‘t feel that way. But those are few and far between. More often, it would be better if we don‘t pretend we feel strong when we feel weak or pretend that we are brave when we are scared.

I was only 12 when we moved to California. I remember that I enjoyed flying non-stop across a whole country and that I wasn’t very happy about leave my friends. But Dad think it’d be good for we all to live in a suburb instead in the middle of a city. And Uncle Jeff, his brother, who’d been living in California for about 20 years, were always telling us how wonderful California it was. He said it would be easily for Dad to get a job driving a taxi, that had been Dad’s job in New York. But we all agreed to try it for one year. Now we’ve been here for four years, and we all love it.
