Last Sunday I saw a worst storm in years. It came sudden and went on for over three hours. After lunch, I went into my room to have a rest. The air was hot, but all was quiet. Then a strong wind started to blow into my room. Pieces of paper on my desk flew high into the air and some flew out the open window. As I ran out to catch it, big drop of rain began to fall. When I come back into my house, it was raining more harder and harder. Then I heard a loud sound from the back of the house. When I ran out of my room to find out that had happened, a big tree had fallen down and broke the top of the backroom.

1.a改成the

2.sudden改成suddenly

3.but改成and

4.out后加of

5.it改成them

6.drop改成drops

7.come改成came

8.cancel “more”

9.that改成what

10.broke改成broken

【解析】

1.1】形容詞最高級(jí)前用the,故把a(bǔ)改成the。

故把but改成and。

4.4】固定搭配fly out of…從---飛出來(lái),故在out后加of。

8.8】harder and harder 越來(lái)越大,more 是多余的,故去掉 “more”。

9.9】賓語(yǔ)從句缺少引導(dǎo)詞同時(shí)也缺少主語(yǔ),故把that改成what,what在這里起雙重作用。

10.10】此處是過(guò)去完成時(shí)態(tài),had 管著后面的fallen 和broke,fallen 和broke是并列關(guān)系,故把broke改成過(guò)去分詞broken。

考點(diǎn):考查短文改錯(cuò)。

How fit are your teeth? Are you lazy about brushing them? Never fear: An inventor is on the case. An electric toothbrush senses (感覺(jué)) how long and how well you brush, and it lets you track(跟蹤) your performance on your phone.

The Kolibree toothbrush was exhibited at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week. It senses how it is moved and can send the information to an Android phone or iPhone via a Bluetooth wireless (無(wú)線的) connection.

The toothbrush will be able to teach you to brush right (don’t forget the insides of the teeth!) and make sure you’re brushing long enough. “It’s kind of like having a dentist actually watch your brushing on a day-to-day basis,” says Thomas Serval, the French inventor.

The toothbrush will also be able to talk to other applications (設(shè)備)on your phone, so developers could, for example, create a game controlled by your toothbrush. You could score points for beating monsters among your teeth. “We try to make it smart and fun,” Serval says.

Serval says he was inspired by his experience as a father. He would come home from work and ask his kids if they had brushed their teeth. They said “yes,” but Serval would find their toothbrush heads dry. He decided he needed a brush that really told him how well his children brushed.

The company says the Kolibree will go on sale this summer, from $99 to $199, and the U.S. is the first target market. ( 目標(biāo)市場(chǎng))
