Asia has long tradition of tea- drinking. And China is no exception.
However, lately more and more Chinese people are turning to a different drink. Coffee has become an increasingly popular choice of Chinese people living abroad and in the country's huge cities. It is also a popular crop among those living in the mountains of southern Yunnan Province.
In big cities such as Beijing, coffee shops seem to be on nearly every major street corner. These shops are not just selling drinks from Starbucks, the world-famous coffee company. Coffee businesses from South Korea, Taiwan, HongKong and Britain are also operating in China.
Tea-drinking is steeped in the culture and traditions of many countries, like China and Japan. But is that changing? Are young people from Asia now choosing a cup of coffee instead of tea?
BeiBei Su is from China. She has been living in the United States for the past eight years. Before that, she lived in Italy for two years. Ms. Su says she likes tea better than coffee. But she adds that may not be true among the young generation in China. Many young Chinese people drink coffee socially --when meeting with friends. Yang Lin lives in the U.S. but comes from an area in China famous for growing tea. She used to only drink tea while in China. But now, she says, she drinks both and for different reasons.
Yang Lin says that drinking coffee for her is a social event. She and her co-workers like to sit in a cafe and talk over a cup of coffee. Voyo is another Chinese woman who now lives in Washington, D.C. She says that after moving to the U.S. Her tastes changed. We would call her a coffee convert, someone who now chooses to drink coffee.
With more people drinking coffee, many see an economic(經濟的)opportunity for Chinese -grown beans. China-grown coffee could be a money- maker even if most of the coffee on sale in China is imported.
1.What does the author mainly introduce?

3.Why does YangLin drink coffee?
A. Because she lives in the U.S. Now.
B. Because she can talk with friends.
C. Because she has drunk tea so long.
D. Because her tastes has changed.
4.From the last paragraph, we can infer that _____
A. less and less coffee will be imported in China in the future.
B. the China-grown coffee beans will be sold to the world soon.
C. the need of coffee will offer more chances to make money.
D. Chinese economy will depend on coffee beans in the future.

In May, 2014, some Chinese tourists found a Chinese-character message “Ding Jinhao once visited here” on a statue of god in a 3500-year-old Egyptian temple. An angry tourist took the photograph of the scrawl and posted it on social media Sina Weibo. It was quickly spread and there were more than 100,000 comments during two weeks. Later, a 15-year-old Chinese boy was searched out as the person who caved this message. Many netizens expressed their anger and disappointment for the uncivilized behavior. They searched and identified the boy and then posted his personal information including the address and pictures online.
Over the weekend, his school’s website was hacked, and reporters flooded into his home in the city of Nanjing. Besieged by reporters, the child’s mother offered a formal apology for her son’s behavior. “We want to apologize to the Egyptian people and to people who have paid attention to this case across China.” the boy’s mother told the local newspaper.
With China’s economy booming over the past decades, a growing number of the country’s residents have become global tourists. Earlier this month, Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang addressed: “Uncivilized behavior of some of tourists is giving this country a bad reputation abroad.” The discussion about Chinese quality was carried out on many media.
On the bright side, Egypt government described the damage to the temple as superficial(表面的)and could be restored and they would forgive the boy. While the act of Ding Jinhao symbolizes a national shame, meanwhile, many people concern about the child’s development and wish he could return to anonymity once more. “The boy has known his mistake and cried all night. 閱讀下面短文,從每題所給的A、B、C、D四個選項中,選出最佳選項.
We have seen that humor and laughter positively influence our body in many ways, but little research has been done on whether a better sense of humor actually helps keep you from getting sick. However, since people with a better sense of humor have higher IgA levels, and since research has shown that those with higher levels of salivary(唾液的) IgA are less likely to get colds or be infected with Streptococcus, humor should reduce the frequency of colds.
The only study to directly examine this question found that the impact of one’s sense of humor upon colds depends on the kind of sense of humor you have. It was only individuals whose sense of humor took the form of seeking out and appreciating humor who had fewer and less severe colds/flu than their low humor counterparts. Surprisingly, those whose sense of humor took the form of initiating humor more often did not have fewer or less severe colds/flu. The researchers argued that being a person who likes to tell jokes or otherwise initiate humor takes them into more frequent contact with other people, which serves to expose them to infectious agents more often, robbing them of the advantage that a more active sense of humor otherwise offers. Obviously, more research is required to clear up this confusing picture.
The importance of active use of one’s sense of humor in producing humor’s health benefits was confirmed in another study in an unusual way. It found that among a group of mothers with newborn infants, those who actively used humor to cope with the stress in their lives had fewer upper respiratory infections and their infants also had fewer infections. This seemed to be because these mothers had higher levels of immunoglobulin A (免疫球蛋白A) in their breast milk.
Among adults, if we look at bodily symptoms alone, independent of any diagnosed illness, there is some evidence that individuals who have more negative reactions to humor report more bodily symptoms and complaints. Students complaining of cardiovascular(心臟血管的) symptoms and gastroenterological (腸胃病的) symptoms also have been shown to have this more negative reaction to humor.
1.What does the passage mainly talk about?
A. People with a good sense of humor get sick less often.
B. Humor can reduce the frequency of colds / flu.
C. Any form of humor can prevent people from getting sick.
D. Humor can treat illness.
2.According to the passage, IgA is _______.
A. a medicine B. enzyme
C. factor D. measure
3.Why do newborn infants whose mothers use humor to deal with stress have fewer infections?
A. Because they don't often get upper respiratory infections.
B. Because they are stronger since they were born.
C. Possibly because of the higher levels of immunoglobulin A in their breast milk.
D. Because their mothers take better care of them.
4.Students with some bad bodily symptoms show ___________ towards humor.
A. a positive attitude B. a negative attitude
C. a neutral attitude D. an unclear attitude
