During a recent Senior Three English lesson,the teacher caught Xiao Li,a female student,busily typing messages on her cell-phone.To the teacher's surprise,Xiao Li wasn't just texting her friends the latest gossip.She was actually blogging about what was being taught in the classroom,sharing her opinion about the information and material with her classmates and other students.
The case aroused a heated discussion among teachers and students city-wide.Miss Li,and English teacher from another nearby school said,"I am amazed at how creative the students can be when writing about personal feelings and experiences."But other teachers are worried that blog-addiction may interfere with their students'study.
A supporter and classmate of Xiao Li said,"We love her blog!We all read it each dy and can't wait to see what she writes about next.Her interesting stories and great suggestions on study really help to motivate us.And it adds a little fun to our stressful life."Another student blogger admitted that he often works late into the night,writing his blog and responding to comments posted there."Sometimes I don't even have time to finish my homework.I can't help myself.I really have a lot to say."
1.用約 30 個單詞寫出上文概要;
(1)中學(xué)生博客的利和弊;
1.在作文中可以使用自己的親身經(jīng)歷或虛構(gòu)的故事,也可以參照閱讀材料的內(nèi)容,但不能直接引用原文的句子;
2.闡述觀點(diǎn)或提供論據(jù)時,不能直接引用原文語句;
3.作文中不能出現(xiàn)真實姓名和班級名稱;

1.What happened in the class showed that blogging has become increasingly popular among middle school students.
句中What happened in the class 是主語從句.that blogging has become increasingly popular among middle school students.
2.On the other hand,blogging allows students the chance to write about the things that are most important to them.句子里On the other hand起連接作用.that are most important to them.是定語從句,that 代指the things.

What happened in the class showed that blogging has become increasingly popular among middle school students【高分句型一】.Some teachers and students view it as a great way to share ideas and motivate students,while others fear it will interfere with students'study.(復(fù)述文章概要)
    There are arguments about student-blogging,so some are for it and some are against it.On the negative side,if students blog too frequently it may interfere with their study.And some people are afraid that some inappropriate topics may be discussed on the Internet.On the other hand,blogging allows students the chance to write about the things that are most important to them【高分句型二】.Because they are interested in those topics,they will be more motivated to write,which helps practice their writing skills.It will also give he blog-readers the chance to practice their reading skills,too.Furthermore,blog-based discussions will help to develop students'ability to think independently and communicate with others.(中學(xué)生博客的利和弊)
  For the above reasons I am generally a big supporter of student-blogging.(作者對中學(xué)生博客的態(tài)度)Of course,there have to be some limits such as parents monitoring their children to make sure they don't spend too much time on it and the subjects discussed are suitable.(關(guān)于此問題的建議)

       Almost everybody in America will spend a part of his or her life behind a shopping cart(購物手推車).They will,in a lifetime,push the chrome-plated contraptions many miles.But few will know-or even think to ask-who it was that invented them.
      Sylvan N.Goldman invented the shopping cart in 1937.At that time he was in the supermarket business.Every day he would see shoppers lugging(吃力地攜帶) groceries around in baskets they had to carry.
      One day Goldman suddenly had the idea of putting baskets on wheels.The wheeled baskets would make shopping much easier for his customers,and would help to attract more business.
      On June 4,1937,Goldman's first carts were ready for use in his market.He was terribly excited on the morning of that day as customers began arriving.He couldn't wait to see them using his invention.
But Goldman was disappointed.Most shoppers gave the carts a long look,but hardly anybody would give them a try.
      After a while,Goldman decided to ask customers why they weren't using his carts."Don't you think this arm is strong enough to carry a shopping basket?"one shopper replied.
      But Goldman wasn't beaten yet.He knew his carts would be a great success if only he could persuade people to give them a try.To this end,Goldman hired a group of people to push carts around his market and pretend they were shopping!Seeing this,the real customers gradually began copying the phony(假冒的) customers.
      As Goldman had hoped,the carts were soon attracting larger and larger numbers of customers to his market.But not only did more people come-those who came bought more.With larger,easier-to-handle baskets,customers unconsciously bought a greater number of items than before.
      Today's shopping carts are five times larger than Goldman's original model.Perhaps that's one reason Americans today spend more than five times as much money on food each year as they did before 1937-before the coming of the shopping cart.

56.The underlined words"chrome-plate contraptions"in Paragraph 1refer toshopping carts.
(No more than 3words)
57.What was the purpose of Goldman's invention?It was to make shopping easier and attract more business.(No more than 10words)
58.Why was Goldman disappointed at first?Because few customers used his carts.(No more than 10words)
59.Why did Goldman hire people to push carts around his market?Because he wanted to promote his shopping carts.(No more than 10words)
60.What do you think of Goldman?Please give your reasons.He was a smart businessman.He invented the shopping cart and made it accepted by customers.
Or:He was smart but he shouldn't have used tricks to attract customers.(No more than 20words)
