Hearing the news that the 2022 Winter Olympics will be held in China, I felt very exciting. It struck me how I learned skating when I was a child. In the age of 7, I began to go crazy about skating, like all my friends. At the beginning, it was not very hard for me to keep my balance. I always fall over on the ground. As the result, I thought I had no gift for skating. So I gradually lost confidence but became upset. The upset I was, the more terribly I did. I was about to give up while my father came to help me. Encouraged by her, I gained confidence and stood up again. As I practiced skating, he always created a relaxing atmosphere and offered some specific advices. In the end, I made it.
【答案】exciting→excited
In→At
去掉very前的not
fall→fell
as the result→as a result
but→and
upset→more
while→when
her→him
advices→advice
at the age of...
根據(jù)I always fall over on the ground. 故要去掉very前的not。
as a result是固定搭配,意為“因此,結(jié)果”。故把as the result改為as a result。
此處固定句型be about to do sth. when...“正要做某事,就在這時”。故把while改為when。
故把her改為him。

Earthquake rescue robots have experienced their final tests in Beijing. Their designers say with these robots, rescuers will be able to save lives during an earthquake.
This robot looking like a helicopter, is called the detector-bot. It’s about 4 meters long, and it took about 4 years to develop the model. Its main functions (作用) are to collect information from the air, and send goods of up to 30 kilos, to people trapped by an earthquake.
This robot has a high definition 360 degree panoramic (全景) camera. It can work day and night and will also be able to send the latest pictures from the quake area.
Dr. Qi Juntong, Chinese Academy of Science, said, “The most important feature of this robot is that it doesn’t need a distant control. We just set the destination (目的地) information on it, and then it takes off, and lands by itself. It flies as high as 3,000 meters, and as fast as 100 kilometers per hour.”
This robot has a different function — it can change as the environment changes. Its main job is to search for any signs of life in places where human rescuers are unable to go.
As well as a detector (探測器) that finds victims and detects poisonous gas, a camera is placed in the 40 centimeter long robot, which can work in the dark.
Another use for the rescuers is the supply part, with its 10 meter long pipe. People who are trapped in the ruins, will be able to get supplies including oxygen and liquids.

For the best selection of flea market product, get there as soon as it opens on the first day of the market. If it’s open Saturday and Sunday all year round, go early on Saturday morning. For seasonal or annual flea markets, go early in the season, preferably the first weekend. You’ll have first pick of the goods the vendors (小販) gathered during the year.
For the biggest discounts, it’s just the opposite. Shop mid to late afternoon during the final day, or days, of the flea market. The vendors are tired and ready to get home –and they might just cut you some fantastic deals if you ask. You may have to haggle a bit, but you’ll probably go home with some bargains, especially if you’re buying large, heavy pieces the tired sellers don’t want to pack and load.
YARD SALES
Yard sale shopping is a lot like flea market shopping. You’ll find the best selections when the sale first starts. Go early on the first day of the sale. If the sale starts at 7 am, be there a few minutes before – but not so early that you’re labeled an early bird. Don’t wait until Saturday to visit a yard sale that starts on Friday.
Like flea market vendors, yard sale sellers aren’t as willing to haggle early in the morning, but the prices are usually pretty low to start. Don’t wait until the afternoon bargain hours to shop at yard sales.
THRIFT STORES (舊貨店)
For the best thrift store selections, ask the employees when the new product arrives. It could be a certain day of the week or a certain time each day. Find out, and then plan your visits for those days and times.
Thrift store prices are usually low, so you might want to snatch things up as soon as you find them. If the prices seem unusually high, ask about their sale structure. Thrift stores don’t always state their sales clearly and sometimes the sales are confusing. Find out when they discount the items that interest you. That’s when you’ll find the best deals.
【1】As for the biggest discounts in the Flea Markets, you’d better______.
A.get there about 6:50 am on Friday
B.go early on Saturday morning
C.ask the host when the new product arrives
D.buy items late afternoon during the last day
【2】The best Thrift Store selections should be taken_______.
A.after the sale startsB.as soon as you find them
C.when new items arriveD.before the afternoon bargain begins
【3】The text is most probably intended for ______.
A.antique collectorsB.economical shoppers
C.product vendorsD.wealthy people
