A strange thing happened the other day. I was washing the in our kitchen while my youngest son was television in the living room. Suddenly, I heard an old from my childhood playing on TV. As the music came into the kitchen, I found myself singing a few along with it, and even doing a little dance step or two while I put back the plates. Then I realized that this was the first time I had in a very long while.

In the days following my Mother’s , I had done my best to again. I had hugged(擁抱) my children and said I loved them. I had the Autumn leaves with their beautiful colors and taken in a few sunsets as well. My heart was still and my moments of joy were few.
