Surfing: It's Not Just for Boys Anymore

If you asked high school girls to name their favorite sports, most would probably say basketball or volleyball. I happen to be one of the few girls who would 1 , surfing(沖浪運(yùn)動(dòng)). But isn't that a bay thing? Some people 2 . Most certainly not.

I started surfing about five years ago and 3 in love with the sport on the very first day. Riding that first 4 was the best feeling I had ever experienced. When I try to 5 surfing with other things, I find it very difficult because, in my 6 , there's nothing like it. It involves(牽涉到) body, 7 , and soul. There's sand between my toes and cool, salt water all 8 us. The feeling I get when I'm surfing across that 9 , becoming one with the 10 , is like I'm weightless.

The one thing I can 11 from surfing and not any other sport is endless challenge(挑戰(zhàn)). You can never be the “best surfer” because the ocean 12 an uncountable variety of waves that nobody can ever master. The variations of surfing styles are wonderful. Some surfers are free and flowing; Others are very aggressive(活躍有力的)and 13 . All of these things attract me to surfing and make it 14 from any other sport.

I've 15 to tell every girl I know to do something that people don't think girls can do. It's part of being human to advance to new 16 , so shouldn't it be expected that girls should step up and start 17 the limits of things boys and men used to dominate(主宰)?

There're women 18 side by side with the President of our country, so why not side by side with the boys 19 the football team or out in the water surfing? Give girls a chance to 20 , and they will.

答案:B;A;D;A;C;D;A;C;B;D;B;C;A;D;B;A;C;D;C;B

1.B 四個(gè)選項(xiàng)都是及物動(dòng)詞,詞義是:A.tell告訴;B.a(chǎn)nswer回答;C.give給;D.realize認(rèn)識(shí)。 If you asked high school girls to name their favorite sports給的語(yǔ)境條件,可以看出選擇

  B.a(chǎn)nswer

  2.A 又是四個(gè)動(dòng)詞A.wonder感到驚奇,表示疑惑;B.understand理解;C.reply回答;D.believe相信,依據(jù)前句:But isn't that a boy thing? Some people wonder.

3.D 注意fall in love with愛(ài)上什么,是一個(gè)固定動(dòng)詞短語(yǔ),如例句:I'v fallen in love with this beautiful place. After working together for many years,we fell in love with each other.

Surfing:It's Not Just for Boys Anymore沖浪運(yùn)動(dòng):現(xiàn)在不僅僅是男孩子的運(yùn)動(dòng)。 該句“Riding that first wave”“第一次乘浪”當(dāng)然最入理。

  5.C 四個(gè)選項(xiàng)A.bring帶來(lái);B.connect連接;C.compare比較;D.tie(把繩、線)拴上。

  6.D in one's life在誰(shuí)的一生中,固定搭配。

  7.A A.mind精神;B.effort努力;C.health健康;D.time時(shí)間,通過(guò)句中所給的詞,前面是body身體,后面是soul靈魂,這其中自然是mind精神,最合適。

  8.C 這里四個(gè)選項(xiàng)全是介詞A.a(chǎn)long沿著;B.a(chǎn)bove在上方;C.a(chǎn)round周?chē);D.by靠近。

  11.B 12.C 13.A 14.D

其中15題用try to do sth.

18.D There're women working side by side with the President of our country.?huà)D女們和我們國(guó)家的總統(tǒng)肩并肩工作,其他三詞sitting坐;walking散步;fighting戰(zhàn)斗,均不符合全文內(nèi)容,故排除。

  19.C on the football team此處介詞on作“在”解,即在足球隊(duì)的。
