My mother is very good for raising plants and flowers.We have plants and flowers indoors and outdoors all the years round.Some of our plants were very small several years before,but now they are large and very beautifully.On top of our roof there is a larger glass-enclosed greenhouse.All our friends love to come to our house see the beautiful world my mother had made for us.Every morning and evening we see my mother taken care of her plants like little children.As her real children have grown up,and my mother devotes more time to her garden.This is the very good way of spending her free time.

My mother is very good for raising plants and flowers.We have plants and flowers indoors and outdoors all

1.for-at  結(jié)合全文可知,該句意為"我母親擅長栽樹種花","擅長做某事"為固定搭配be good at,故for應(yīng)改為at;
2.years-year  all the year round 為固定搭配,意為"一年四季、終年",該題干擾詞為all,在此處應(yīng)理解為"整個",若理解為"所有的、全部",就容易忽視years的錯誤;
3.before-ago  before的用法為before+時間,而ago則為時間+ago,故此處before應(yīng)改為ago;
4.beautifully-beautiful  該句為"主系表"結(jié)構(gòu),又and為并聯(lián)連詞,所以應(yīng)用beautiful與large一起構(gòu)成并列表語;
5.larger-large  a glass-enclosed greenhouse"大型的玻璃溫室"為第一次出現(xiàn),所以不存在比較,故large應(yīng)用原形來修飾greenhouse;
6.house后加to或and  該句中同時出現(xiàn)了love和see兩個謂語,且沒有連詞連接,這在英語句子結(jié)構(gòu)中是不允許的,故該處有兩種改法:1)加to   to see the beautiful 作為love to come to our house的目的狀語;2)加and  see the beautiful 與love to come to our house一起構(gòu)成并列謂語;
7.had-has  使用過去完成時的時間要求為"過去之過去",本文主要用現(xiàn)在時,且"母親為我們創(chuàng)造的美麗世界"并非過去之過去的動作,故應(yīng)用has替換had;
8.taken-take/taking  該句賓語my mother與賓語補足語動作take care of"照看、照顧"存在邏輯上的主謂關(guān)系,故不能用過去分詞形式作賓語補足語,另see sb.do sth."看見某人做某事"與see sb.doing sth."看見某人正在做某事"均符合該句句意,故應(yīng)將taken改為take或taking;
9.去掉and  As her real children have grown up在句中表原因,是從句,而my mother devote time to her garden.為主句,主從句之間不能用并列連詞and連接;

Tyler was born infected with HIV:his mother was also infected.From the very beginning of his life,he was dependent on medications(藥物治療) to enable him to survive.When he was five,he had a tube surgically inserted in a vein in his chest.This tube was connected to a pump,which he carried in a small backpack on his back.Medications were hooked up to this pump and were continuously supplied through this tube to his bloodstream.At times,he also needed supplemented oxygen to support his breathing.
Tyler wasn't willing to give up one single moment of his childhood to this deadly disease.It was not unusual to find him playing and racing around his backyard,wearing his medicine-laden backpack and dragging his tank of oxygen behind him in his little wagon.All of us who knew Tyler marveled at his pure joy in being alive and the energy it gave him.Tyler's mom often teased him by telling him that he moved so fast she needed to dress him in red.That way,when she peered through the window to check on him playing in the yard,she could quickly spot him.

A few days before his death,Tyler beckoned me over to his hospital bed and whispered,"I might die soon.I'm not scared.When I die,please dress me in red.Mom promised she's coming to heaven,too.I'll be playing when she gets there,and I want to make sure she can find me."

"Raising Mommy"By Jan Davis
Being a mother can always present challenges and rewards.Someone told me early that children will teach you everything you need to know.Being a mother is being raised.Our children become our advisers.Their dreams become our professors,as we are taking notes carefully.The sounds of their laughter and smiles are a great reward to us.Their tears remind us that it is okey to fail,and that we should wipe the tears away and try again.
