分析 毫無(wú)疑問(wèn)世界氣候在最近幾年一直在變化,許多人把這算在二氧化碳等氣體的排放上.

5.Earlier and earlier,today's parents seek out every advantage for their child,from eating organic foods during pregnancy(懷孕)to breastfeeding to choosing a good name.
A new survey from Baby Center.com shows that most expectant (未來(lái)的) parents believe their baby name choice contributes to their child's future success in life,and they very much want to get it right.
Over 35,000parents from around the world responded to the survey."Naming a child is an exciting milestone of new parenthood,so we were curious to understand what factors influence parents today,"says BabyCenter executive editor Linda Murray.The survey shows that 52percent of expectant parents believe the name they give their child contributes to his or her success in life.This is a significant change from the BabyCenter survey taken over five years ago,when just 40percent of expectant parents agreed with the statement.
Bellevue University professor Cleveland Evans says that the results may reflect a growing concern about financial security among parents."Polls show that many Americans are worried about the economy,"Evans points out.As a result,parents may be more focused on questions of success when choosing a name than they were five years ago.
The survey also indicates that parents have become more egalitarian.Five years ago,just 60percent of expectant parents said each parents'opinion was equally important when choosing a name,but that number has increased to 84percent in the survey."In addition to being in the delivery room and taking time off work for paternity leave(父親假),this is one more way in which modern dads are participating more actively,"says Murray.
Results from the survey seem to indicate that fathers exert(施加) the most influence on boys'names.As Dad's opinion increases in importance,strength replaces individuality as the quality parents most want their son's name to convey.For girls'names,individuality remains the most important feature.

20.Dear Sir/Madam,
I live next to your school in Grasmere Road and I am writing regarding the very bad behavior of some of your younger students.In addition to this,I should like to bring to your attention to the irresponsibility of certain members of your staff when supervising (監(jiān)督) students,evening activities.
Firstly,concerning the students'behavior,I should like you to make it very clear to those students walking along Grasmere Road towards the station that my front garden is not a place where people are allowed to leave their rubbish.When they leave school in the afternoons,they pass my house and throw empty cans,waste paper and even cigarette packets (although most of them are below the age for smoking) on my grass.
Could you also please ask your students not to shout and use bad language in the street,as this is harmful to the reputation of both your school and the area?
Regarding certain members of your staff,you are perhaps unaware of the fact that their evening activities sometimes continue well beyond ten and the noise is too loud.Last Thursday night the noise did not stop until 10:30pm.Surely the members of staff supervising these activities could bring the events to a close at a suitable moment.
I know that I am speaking for many families in the area when I ask you to speak to your students and staff about these matters.
Should they continue to be so inconsiderate,I shall be forced to take matters further and shall have no choice but to write to the council(地方議會(huì)).
Yours faithfully,
Mrs.J Barker
29.The text is a letter ofC.
A.introduction
B.invitation
C.complaint
D.thanks
30.Which of the following is destroying the area's reputation in Mrs.J Barker's eyes?D
A.Throwing rubbish.
B.Smoking cigarettes.
C.Making too much noise.
D.Shouting and using bad language.
31.What is Mrs.J Barker going to do if these matters are not solved?A
A.Take further action.
B.Turn to a lawyer.
C.Keep an eye on them.
D.Continue to write to the school.
