The other day, some of my classmates and I took a bicycle trip along the "Huan Shan Green Road", that was specially built for people to relax ourselves. The scenery along the road was fascinating, with trees, flowers, hills and lakes on both side. We stopped by a lake for a rest, where a great many of people are playing happily. But something unpleasant caught our eyes. There was rubbish here or there, and there were many plastic bags and bottles floated on the surface of the lake. Such beautiful place was so serious polluted. What a shame! In the end, we couldn't help collecting the rubbish after we left.
【答案】
【1】that→which
【2】ourselves→themselves
【3】side→sides
【4】many后面的of去掉
【5】are→were
【6】here后面的or→and
【7】floated→floating
【8】Such后面加a
【9】serious→seriously
【10】after→before/ when
【解析】
試題分析:作者在the "Huan Shan Green Road"上騎自行車(chē)玩,看到到處都是垃圾,作者和他的同學(xué)忍不住在離開(kāi)前收集垃圾。
【1】that→which 此處是非限制性定語(yǔ)從句,先行詞指物,that不能用于非限制性定語(yǔ)從句,故把that改為which。
【2】ourselves→themselves 句意:人們放松自己。即“他們自己”,故把ourselves改為themselves。
【3】side→sides 表示“路兩邊”,前面有both,故side要用復(fù)數(shù)形式。
【4】many后面的of去掉 固定詞組:a great many+名詞復(fù)數(shù),of多余,故去掉。
【5】are→were 句意:許多人正在高興地在湖邊玩。動(dòng)作發(fā)生在過(guò)去,故用過(guò)去時(shí)態(tài),故把a(bǔ)re改為were。
【6】here后面的or→and 固定搭配:here and there到處。故把or改為and。
【7】floated→floating 句意:有很多漂浮在湖面上的塑料袋和瓶子。與邏輯主語(yǔ)bags and bottles是主動(dòng)關(guān)系,故把floated改為floating。
【8】Such后面加a 表示“這樣一個(gè)美麗的地方”,place是單數(shù)名詞,故要在Such后面加a。
【9】serious→seriously 副詞修飾過(guò)去分詞,故把serious改為seriously。
【10】after→before/ when 句意:當(dāng)我們離開(kāi)(或我們離開(kāi)以前),我們?nèi)滩蛔∈占?/span>根據(jù)句意,故把after改為before/ when。
【知識(shí)拓展】
1.so + 形容詞/副詞 + that + 從句,如:
This story is so interesting that I want to read it again.(這個(gè)故事如此有趣以至我想再讀一次.)
2.so+形容詞/副詞+(a/an)+(單數(shù))復(fù)數(shù)可數(shù)名詞/+that+從句,如果句中的名詞是單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞,其前就要用a或an,如果是復(fù)數(shù)可數(shù)名詞或者,前面就不用,如:
Those are so beautiful flowers that wants to pick them.(那些花是如此漂亮以至那個(gè)女孩想要摘下它們。)
3.such+a/an+形容詞+單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞+that+從句,如:It is such an interesting story that I want to read it again.(這是一個(gè)如此有趣的故事以至我想再讀一次。)
溫馨提示:so+表示數(shù)量的詞many/much/few/little(少)+名詞,此時(shí)不能用such。

Dear Alice,
I have just got a good news to tell you. I win a national prize for painting last week. My father was so pleasing that he suggested I went to England for a holiday. I’d like to staying there for half a month, visiting place of interest or practicing my English as well. We’ve been often dreamed of talking face to face with you. I imagine you’ll be at vacation by that time. Perhaps we could go out to do some sightseeing together.
Best,

Not only do our parents give us life, but they also give us endless love and support, always share our happiness and sorrow. I’m very grateful to my parents. They give me so many love and spare no efforts to support me. I still remembered once I was seriously ill, they were so worried and almost kept my company a whole night. Now I’m in Senior 2. Lucky, my parents can understand my stressful condition and often communicate me with encouraging word. Furthermore, they give me enough personal space, that I appreciate so much. What I should do now is to study hardly. When I grow up, I’ll try my best to make my parents to live a happy life.

There are so many things we do in our daily lives that have become a “habit”, 【1】How you answer the phone is a habit. The way you sit in the car when you drive is a habit. Have you ever tried to change the way you do something, after you’ve done it in a certain way for so long? It’s easy to do as long as you think about it. The minute your mind drifts to something else, you go right back to the old way of doing things. 【2】It’s a way of doing things that has become routine or commonplace. To change an existing habit or form a new one can be a tedious(單調(diào)乏味的) task.
Let’s pick something fairly easy to start with, like spending 15 minutes in the morning readingtheBible. If you want to turn something into a habit that you do every day, you have to WANT to do it. 【3】Make a firm decision to do this on a daily basis.
Imprint(銘刻) it in your mind. Write several notes to yourself and put them in places where you will see them. By the alarm clock, on the bathroom mirror, on the refrigerator door, in your briefcase, and under your car keys are good places to start.
After the newness wears off, then you will have to remind yourself, “Hey, I forgot to. . . ”. Keep using the notes if you have to. 【4】Some people say it will take over a month to solidify(變得穩(wěn)固) it and make it something you will do without having to think about it. I tend to agree with the last statement. Two to three weeks will help you to remember, but thirty days or more will make it a part of your everyday routine. 【5】
A. What is a “habit” anyway?
B. Is doing things in an old way good?
C. Brushing your teeth is a habit.
D. Forming a bad habit is easy.
E. It takes 16 to 21 times of repeating a task to make it a habit.
F. If you don’t, you will find a way to do everything but that.
G. That’s something you won’t necessarily have to think about before you do it — habit.

【題目】Though there are about 400 languages from all over the world that are in danger of disappearing completely,Zoque-Ayapaneco,a native Mexican language is considered the most likely to become extinct, because the only two people in the world that speak it fluently do not talk to each other!
And,it's not because they live in different countries, states or even villages. In fact,Manuel Segovia and Isidro Velazquez, both in their 70s,live within 500 yards of each other,in the village of Ayapa in the Southern Mexican State of Tabasco. They, however, refuse to communicate because they simply don't have much in common. Segovia is apparently a little frank in nature while Velazquez is described as shy.
Segovia was at least able to talk in Zoque-Ayapanece with his brother until he passed away about 12 years ago,and still manages to practice it with his family, especially his son Manuel, who for the last five years has been trying to learn it and hopes to become fluent enough to teach it to the next generation. Velazquez on the other hand, has not been heard speaking in the language with anybody.
The two men say the language used to be widely spoken in the village, but the younger generation refused to learn it for fear of being laughed at,and it therefore began to die a slow death,as the elders passed away.
Unless the two men get their acts together, the only way to hear the language will be to either listen to Manuel's not-so-fluent statement or see them talk in a documentary entitled “Lengua Muerta” (Dead Language) that is being filmed to capture Zoque Ayapaneco and 364 other native Mexican languages that are in a similar state.
We sure hope Segovia and Velazquez soon find something common to talk about. Maybe the fact is that the language is dying and that they should start encouraging and teaching the next generation together.
【1】What do we know about Zoque-Ayapaneco?
A.It was widely used twelve years ago.
B.It is a Southern American language.
C.It will be popular in Mexico in the near future.
D.It will be dying out if no effective measures are taken.
【2】The reason why Segovia and Velazquez don't talk to each other is that ________.
A.they both are too shy
B.they have no similarity in their character
C.they are too familiar to talk
D.they live in different villages
【3】From the passage,we can conclude that ________.
A.a(chǎn)ltogether 365 languages are becoming extinct in the world
B.Segovia and Velazquez will communicate with each other soon
C.the government cares a lot about the protection of Zoque-Ayapaneco
D.we can hear the language from Manuel or documentary “Lengua Muerta”
【4】What's the main idea of the passage?
A.World's endangered languages are being filmed.
B.Villagers are trying to protect their old language.
C.An endangered language is spoken by only two people.
D.There are a lot of languages in Mexico.

【題目】Pharrell Williams takes a breath and considers how the past years have developed for him: ten Grammy Awards and a number of hit singles including a song that has caused countless fans to express how they are “happy”.
And the key, says the 43yearold known simply as Pharrell, has been taking advantage of audiences' (聽(tīng)眾的) need for heartfelt personal stories.
“I think we've entered a new singersongwriter time,” said the American singer and producer. “People want a story. They want a story they can connect to. It's not about what you have or what you don't have; it's more about your journey and your viewpoint that's important to people.”

After seeing how far his song traveled, the singer broke down in tears during a televised interview with the famous talk show host Oprah Winfrey.
“It's just encouraging to people who have something to say, something to express,” he said.
The success has made Pharrell realize that people are searching for personal and emotional links (情感紐帶), perhaps as a means of getting away from the modern technological world we're living in today.
“People want to feel. There's too much thinking to deal with,” the singer said. “We're different from what we were 15 years ago, The only thing we have left that reminds (提醒) us that we are humans is feeling. It' s the most important thing ever.”
