You often find somebody who works around you complaining all the time, don’t you? 【1】. About 70% of Americans say being around nonstop complainers sometimes has a bad influence on them. Luckily, here are 4 tips to help form positive patterns.
Self-awareness
When a negative thought pops into your mind, immediately correct it. Instead of telling yourself “That’s a nice shirt, but I can’t afford it,” change the message to “That will look great with my black pants when I can afford it.”【2】.
Of course, everyone complains sometimes. But the less frequently you complain, the better you will feel.
Distance yourself
【3】. Excuse yourself and go somewhere quiet, somewhere outdoors in the fresh air. Think of something pleasant before returning. You have to take this seriously because negative people can and will pull you into the quicksand
Don’t try to change complainers
If you find yourself trapped in a group of complainers in a meeting or at a social event, simply choose silence. Let their words bounce off you while you think of something else. Attempting to stop the complaining can make you a target.【4】. If someone says, “I hate Mondays; weekends are too short,” try to think, “I’m glad I rested over the weekend, so I’m ready to make some improvement on that big project.”
【5】
When someone is shouting at you angrily, throw the responsibility back at them by asking, “So what do you intend to do about it?” In most cases, complainers don’t really want a solution. They just want to speak them out. If you make them aware that they themselves have to find the solutions, they will leave you alone and find someone else to complain to. If so, you will be happy.
A. Find solutions
B. Change the responsibility
C. You have got a lot of company
D. By doing this, it will lead to positive behavior
E. But you can redirect the discussion in your own mind
F. Whenever possible, escape from negative conversations
G. You will never know what they are going to talk about
【1】C
【2】D
【3】F
【4】E
【5】B
【2】D 根據(jù)前句“That’s a nice shirt, but I can’t afford it,” change the message to “That will look great with my black pants when I can afford it.”
Excuse yourself and go somewhere quiet, somewhere outdoors in the fresh air.
Attempting to stop the complaining can make you a target.
When someone is shouting at you angrily, throw the responsibility back at them by asking,可知當別人對你抱怨的時候,我們應該告訴對方究竟是誰應該負責任。

Words have great power. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Many of us have been offended by words and know how badly words hurt. 【1】. Trust me if you are not careful in this area, your emotions will soon be controlled by the words of the people around you.
● 【2】.
If someone tells you “You are a fool.”, don’t believe it in your mind. People who hurt you can never really harm you unless you allow yourself to be defined by these words. You are a child of God. You are very valuable in the sight of God, so never allow yourself to feel inferior just by the words of other people.
● Turn those words into positive thoughts within you.
If there is something wrong with your actions, and others are trying to correct you, it can sometimes hurt your feelings if their words are hurtful. 【3】. Think like this in your mind, “Yes, I’m wrong, but I’ll find out ways to improve. Now I have hope because I know I can change.”
● Respond softly.
If someone speaks in a hurtful way, take a deep breath first and try to speak softly and kindly in response. 【4】. On the contrary, an angry answer is like a sword, which will bring harm instead of healing.
● Be silent.
【5】. It’s none of your business. We need not respond to every personal comment from people. It’s not your problem that they keep on hurting you on purpose. So simply leave it.
A. A soft answer turns away anger
B. Don’t worry about what others say
C. It is wise to correct others’ mistake by soft words
D. Never let negative words of others define who you are
E. In that case change those words into positive thoughts
F. If someone is purposefully hurting you for no reason, simply be silent and ignore it
G. Today I will share a few tips on how to handle the effect of negative words spoken to you

The color of animals is by no means a matter of chance; it depends on many considerations, but in the majority of cases tends to protect the animals from danger by making it less outstanding Perhaps, it may be said that if coloring is mainly protective, there ought to be fewer brightly colored animals. 【1】. The kingfisher itself, though so brightly colored, is not easy to see.
【2】. Thus, for instance, the lion, and the wild donkey are all sand—colored. “Indeed, in the desert, neither trees, brushwood, nor even undulation (起伏) of the surface afford the slightest protection to its enemies.【3】.” says an expert.
The next point is the color of the mature caterpillars(毛蟲), some of which are brown. This probably makes the caterpillar even more outstanding among the green leaves. What would you do if you were a big caterpillar? Why, like most other defenceless creatures, you would feed by night, and lie hidden by day. 【4】. When the morning light comes, they go down the stem of the food plant, and hide among dry sticks and leaves around the ground, and it is obvious that under such circumstances the brown color really becomes a protection. While we may say as a general rule that the large caterpillars feed by night and hide by day, it is by no means always the case that they are brown: some of them still remain green.【5】, and that the brown color is a later adaptation.
A. So do these caterpillars
B. Therefore, the color of the animals is bright
C. We can say that they formed a good habit
D. Desert animals are generally the color of the desert
E. We may conclude that the habit of hiding themselves by day comes first
F. However, there are some cases where vivid colors are themselves protective
G. So the color of birds, snakes and even smaller animals, is of one uniform sand color
