 Lao She ( 1899〜1966) ，pseudonym (筆名) of Shu Qingchun- was a Chinese play writer. He wrote hi.s       first novel while teaching Chinese at the Univer?sity of London. In the summer of 1929,he left Bri?tain for Singapore. teaching at the Chinese High School. During his return to China in the spring of 1930 until 1937,he taught at several universities.
