For many years doctors have warned us about the dangers of stress and have given us advice about how to cut down our stress levels. Everyone agrees that long-term(長(zhǎng)期的)stress, for example, having to look after someone who has been ill for a long time, or stressful situations, for example, being stopped in a traffic jam, is bad for our health and should be avoided(避免)whenever possible.

However, some medical experts now believe that certain kinds of stress many actually be good for us.

Dr. Dirk Marion, an anti-ageing expert, says that "good stress" is helpful to our health. And in fact, it may help us stay young and attractive and even live longer.

According to Dr. Marion, running for a bus or having to work to a deadline(最后期限)are examples of "good stress", which are situations with short-term, low or moderate(適度的)stress. The stress usually makes us react quickly and efficiently, and gives us a sense of achievement-we did it!

Other stressful activities that Dr. Marion recommends as being good stress include cleaning your room over a weekend, packing your suitcase in a hurry to the train station on time, or shopping for a party during your lunch break.

Text messaging, or simply “texting”, with allows people to send and receive messages on mobile phones, becomes very popular today.

The advantages of texting are obvious. Texting helps to save money. If you have a few words to greet your families and friends on their birthdays or on some important festivals, sending messages can be cheaper than phone calling. Texting helps to save time. Even if you want to send a message to 100 people, you can do it one second. Texting helps you to “talk” to someone when he is too busy to answer the phone. Texting can also help you to “talk” to someone secretly if you don’t want others to hear what you are talking on the phone. These advantages are so amazing that many people are crazy about it. They hold mobile phones in hands all day long, send dozens of messages each day, and even text while driving or walking.

However, texting has its disadvantages. Junk messages may come into your mobile phone box now and then. When your phone box gets too full, you can’t receive any more messages. You may therefore miss some important information.

What’s more, if you don’t do texting properly, for example texting while driving or walking, it can be dangerous. It can cause injuries and even death. It was reported that about 6,000 people were killed and half a million were injured for this reason each year. In Fort Lee, a small town in New Jersey, USA, three people died because they walked into traffic while texting in 2011. Two researchers at Stony Brook University, New York found that texters are 60% more probably to have an accident than others. When people are texting, they don’t notice other people or things around them. To reduce traffic accidents, all drivers of the UN are now not allowed to text while driving. About 32 countries have passed laws restricting the use of mobile phones while driving.

Texting is a wonderful way of communication. However, only when we use it properly, can we fully enjoy the fun it brings.

Some people believe that classes, teachers and school buildings will no longer be necessary in the near future because of the Internet and other new technology. Perhaps this will be true one day, but if the world has no schools, I can't imagine how our society will be. In fact, we should learn how to use new technology to make schools better. We should invent a new kind of school connected to libraries, museums, science centers, labs and even companies. Technological companies should create learning programs for schools. Scientists could give talks through the Internet. TV networks and local stations could develop programs about things students are studying in school. Labs could set up websites to show new technology, so students could see it on the Internet.

Is this a dream? No. There have been many cities where this is beginning to happen. Here the whole city is connected to the Internet, and learning can take place at home, at school, and in the office. Businesses provide programs for the schools and the society. The schools provide computer labs for people without their own computers at home. Because everyone can go on the Internet, older people use it as much as younger ones, and everyone can visit faraway libraries and museums as easily as nearby ones. How will this new thing of school change the usual way of learning? It is a little early to be sure, but it is very exciting to think about it. Technology will change the way we learn; schools will change as well; and we will learn something from the Internet.

( )63. What the writer thinks is that____________.

   A. schools are still necessary B. more schools should be built

   C. there should be fewer schools D. more computers are needed in schools

( )64.Why do people think learning can take place at home, at school, and in the office?

A. Because whole city is connected to the Internet.

    B. Because everyone can go on the Internet.

C. Because getting online is very easy.

D. Because Scientists could give talks through the Internet.

( )65. What fact does the passage NOT provide?

    A. Technology will change our way of learning.

B. If you are a student, you can set up websites to show new technology.

C. The schools provide computer labs for those who have no personal computers.
