【題目】 We can see them every day, on every street corner, on every construction site (建筑工地) in cities. They work day and night in the terrible working conditions and weather. They build the roads, the theaters, the cinemas, and the supermarkets. They’re China’s migrant workers.

More than 140 million workers have left their homes to look for job in cities. They hope to be rich, but they realize they have many problems making money. And one of the problems is the pride and discrimination (歧視) from the people in cities.

When night falls, I can see the sad faces of the migrant workers everywhere. You can see them playing cards along the streets. Many are living far away from where they are.

I can sometimes feel their pain, knowing exactly what it feels like to live so far away from home in a city where I walk a different walk and talk a different talk.

Yes, they dress differently and speak differently. Different habits, but they work hard. The people in cities regard them as outsiders, and most governments refuse to give them medical care and public schooling for their children.

So many things need to be changed. The first is discrimination! They may not make as much money as some people in cities, they may not have everything we have, but they are honest. 【題目】History

Water polo (水球) or water ball is a team water sport. It started in England in the nineteenth century. The sport has been popular ever since.

The Sport

Water polo is played between two teams in a swimming pool. Players swim in the pool, carrying and throwing the ball to their team members. They try to score as many goals as possible.

There are 6 players and 1 goalkeeper (守門(mén)員) on a team. The teams have two different coloured caps. Visiting team field players usually wear white caps, and home team field players usually wear blue caps. Both goalkeepers wear red caps, numbered “1”. During the game, the goalkeepers can use two hands, but the other team members can only use one hand when carrying or throwing the ball. The game is divided (劃分) into 4 periods. Each goal is one point.

In the Olympics

Water polo was introduced in the Olympics of 1900. The only two teams were Great Britain and Belgium (比利時(shí)). Great Britain beat Belgium at last. Water polo used to be a sport for men only, but after a long wait, women’s water polo became an official sport in the Olympic Games in 2000 in Sydney.

1Water polo started in America in the 1800s.

2There are 7 players on a team in a water polo game, including a goalkeeper.

3The goalkeepers usually wear blue caps in water polo games.

4Each water polo game has 4 periods.

5Women’s water polo was introduced in the Olympic Games in 1900.
