Every spring, Indians celebrate a color throwing festival called Holi. At first, people threw red flour on each other. They believed it would bring luck to all. Now, they use many color flour, white, red, yellow, green and so on. Holi is known as the happiest Indian festival.
In fall,Spainthrows tomatoes in the town of Bunol on the last Wednesday of August. Thousands of people watch or take part in the tomato fighting and they use about 100 tons of tomatoes every year. When it is over, some people begin to clean the street. It is clean again in an hour.
In Thailand, people throw water at friends, family and passers-by at the Songkran (宋干節(jié)) festival. It begins on the 13th April and ends on the 15th April. People throw water to each other to wish for good luck. There's a throwing festival, Tunarama(圖納拉瑪節(jié))in January in Lincoln, Australia. But people don't throw things to each other. They throw a tuna(金槍魚).Players throw a 22-pound frozen tuna as far as they can. The winner is the one who throws the farthest and he will get the prize.
