If you don’t have a meal, do you ever notice yourself starting to get angry very easily? Well, this is often known as being “hangry” or being angry because you are very hungry.
But as it turns out, it’s not just a funny phrase, it is scientifically true! Scientists have found this feeling of anger usually comes from having low glucose(葡萄糖)levels in the bloodstream(血液). Glucose is put into the body after you eat.
The brain also needs this to work correctly. When the glucose in your body is low, the brain sends hormones(激素)to increase the amount of that. This makes it hard for people to control their emotions. The brain even starts to feel like you are dealing with a life-threatening situation if you don’t get enough glucose. Another problem is that the brain will also use neuropeptide(神經肽)to send a message saying you should eat. And this is the same chemical that manages anger.
Amanda Salis, PhD, University of Sydney, says that we may also be able to thank our ancestors(祖先)for our hanger. Salis says that long ago when there was not much food, people had to be aggressive(富于攻擊性的)so that they could get enough food to live.
Even now when most people have enough food to eat, there is still that feeling of needing food.

“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive,” said Howard Thurman. Yes, one of the best ways to learn about other people and other places is by visiting, connecting, and experiencing them yourself. Traveling the world opens your mind.
I remember when I was traveling, I began to know the world better. The world is not just about me, my small town and home. Although you will meet different people from all over the world, you will realize that people are similar in their dreams, hopes and feelings. Enjoy exploring the different cultures, and you will also find that people are different in some of the things they do and how they live. Once you understand their ways, it will not be strange or scary. Often you read stories about other cultures in books. Only when you visit their areas do you find that those stories are sometimes wrong.
One thing you may find out is that there are problems all over the world. You cannot just get money to send to these areas and hope that will work them out. The world should get involved and help wherever there are problems. People everywhere should be given a chance. It is so easy to ignore (忽視) this if one does not travel or explore. One can look around and see that so many people have many challenges worse than ours. One can realize that sometimes our biggest problems are not that big after all.
On your journey you will meet a lot of new friends. Talking to strangers and finding about their lives is a great way to spend your time. You will certainly be more confident after having to deal with problems and make many decisions along the way.
When you travel, you have to be on your own in some situations. You will surprise yourself by how well you can do that. All your special experiences could make an interesting book to read. It would be filled with all your adventures and special memories.
Traveling around and seeing so much happening in the world around us is a wonderful experience. If we could all just travel a little more and share our experiences, we would all be better people and the world would be a better place.

B.Traveling Makes the World a Better Place
C.Traveling Helps People Make More Friends
