(1) |
答案就在短文首句的“ The sun is a huge, hot, bright star.”之中,其中包含的三個形容詞正是本題的答案. |
(2) |
短文首段末句和第二段的首句“The sun gives us light and heat. All living things need light and heat from the sun to live.”是解答該題目的重要依據(jù). |
(3) |
本小題屬于表層理解題.答案顯然在“If there was no sun,it would be dark all the time.Even when the sky is cloudy, the sunlight is very strong and it shines through the clouds.”一句中. |
(4) |
本小題同樣屬于表層理解題.“All the food we eat comes from plants in a food chain(鏈)which starts with the sun.”這句話是問題的出處.此句是定語從句,要仔細(xì)閱讀才能正確理解. |
(5) |
根據(jù)“It is important because without it there would be no life on Earth.”和“If there was no sun, it would be dark all the time.” |

Mike and Kate joined the crowd. They were surprised to see two thieves in the street. The thieves were running out of the bank. They were holding bags full of money. The bank manager was running after them.
A policeman was standing among the crowd, but he didn't do anything.
“Quick!” Mike shouted to the policeman, “Can't you see those thieves?”

Over thirty thousand years ago people from Northern Asia went to America. Today we call these people Indians.
The Indians went to America because the weather in Northern Asia began to change. Northern Asia became very cold. Everything froze. They had to move or die. How did the first Indians go to America? They walked!
Later Columbus found the New World in 1642. At first, only a few Europeans followed. They travelled to America in boats. For the next three hundred years, about 5,000,000 people went there. Then the number grew very quickly. From 1815 to 1915, over thirty-two million Europeans left their countries and went to the United States. The biggest groups were from Germany and Italy.
