A group of scientists from Sweden have unlocked one of nature's biggest secrets. The scientists have worked out how spiders make such strong silk when they build their webs. Some doctors believe the new silk could be used to take the place of the torn ligaments (撕裂的韌帶) in the body. Plane makers and makers of protective clothing also see many uses for the new silk.
