Take a class at Dulangkou School, and you’ll see lots of things different from other schools, You can see the desks are not in rows(排)and students sit in groups. They put their desks together so they’re facing each other. How can they see the blackboard? There are three blackboards on the three walls of the classroom!
The school calls the new way of learning “Tuantuanzuo”, meaning sitting in groups. Wei Liying, a Junior 3 teacher, said it was to give students more chances to communicate.
Each group has five or six students, according to Wei, and they play different roles(角色).There is a team leader who takes care of the whole group. There is a “study leader”who makes sure that everyone finishes their homework. And there is a discipline(紀律)leader who makes sure that nobody chats in class.
Wang Lin is a team leader. The 15-year-old said that having to deal with so many things was tiring.
“I just looked after my own business before,”said Wang. “But now I have to think about my five group members.”
But Wang has got used to it and can see the benefits(好處)now.
“I used to speak too little. But being a team leader means you have to talk a lot. You could even call me an excellent speaker today.”
Zhang Qi, 16, was weak in English. She used to get about 70 in English tests. But in a recent test, Zhang got a grade of more than 80.
“I rarely(很少) asked others when I had problems with my English tests. But now I can ask the team leader or study leader. They are really helpful.”

根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容回答下列問題

It’s every teenager’s nightmare (惡魔): exam time. During the last three days of the term, we have six exams.

My easiest exam was maths. All of its questions were from earlier exams.
The biology exam was hard. At first, I thought I had failed it. It asked lots of things we never studied in class, so we could use our textbooks. But there wasn’t enough time to check every question. I guessed on many of them. But my teacher said I did well.

On the career planning and computer applications (申請) exam, we had a lot to do: a PowerPoint presentation (顯示), a book report and a class evaluation. I felt like I needed more time, but some of my classmates didn’t think so much. They just quickly wrote down some answers and then played games.

I don’t think I did very well in the English exam. We had to write an essay (讀后感) about books we’ve read in class. But I didn’t study enough.

At our school, we can “Test out” of some classes. That means students can study by themselves and then take a class exam. If they pass, they don’t have to take the class, I tested out of both computer and health classes.

Studying for those exams was terrible. Those classes go for six months, but I had to teach myself everything in three weeks. Also, I had to do three big projects at the same time. I watched no TV for almost three weeks! I am so glad it’s all over, and now it’s the summer holiday.

For my classmates, it will be two and a half months of fun without school or homework. But I’m a Chinese, and you know what Chinese parents do with their kids’ free time: still more homework.
