There are lots of tests（測(cè)試） in schools, like English tests, maths tests and running tests. Have you ever heard about a bicycle riding test? Some students in China are having this new test.

To make students safe on the roads, some schools are holding bicycle riding tests for students over 12 years old. The schools also give classes about traffic rules. Students can learn to ride a bicycle with the help of their teachers. The test includes（包括） riding skills, such as the moves of getting on and off, making 90 degrees turn, passing through a narrow road, riding on the path in the shape of S and stopping suddenly.

Once they pass the test, they will get a “riding license”. Many students ride to school in China. Most students and parents welcome this new test.

Schools in Shanghai first asked their students over 12 to take a “riding license” about 10 years ago. Students can’t go to school by bicycle without a license.
