Are you a gourmand(美食主義者)? Do you want to eat every delicious food in the world ? Then do you watch the popular program? “A Bite of China(舌尖上的中國)” is a documentary on Chinese delicious food which has been broadcasted by Chinese central television. Is there any holiday that isn’t celebrated with a special festival food ? Here are several traditional Chinese foods:
Eggs hold a special meaning in many cultures, and China is no exception(例外). The Chinese believe eggs mean producing something new. After a baby is born, parents may hold a "red egg and ginger party," where they pass out eggs to announce the birth. In some areas of China, the number of eggs represents the sex of the child, for example, an even number(1,3,5,---) for a girl, and an odd number(2,4,6---) if a boy has been born.
Noodles are a symbol of longlife in Chinese culture. They are as much a part of a Chinese birthday celebration. Since noodles represent long life, it is considered very unlucky to cut it off.
Although westerners sometimes may be very sorry to see fish lying on a plate, in China a whole fish is a symbol of richness. In fact, at a party it is traditional to serve the whole fish last, pointed toward the valued guest. Fish also has a special meaning because the Chinese word for fish “ yu” sounds like the word for richness or plenty, and it is believed that eating fish will help your wishes come true in the year to come.
A very popular dish during the Dragon Boat Festival is Zongzi. This tasty dish is made of rice dumplings with meat, peanut or other delicious food in bamboo leaves. The tradition of Zongzi is meant to remind us of a great man, Qu Yuan.
The 50-minute program tries to bring something new by presenting more cultural elements(元素), such as eating habits and the quality of eating.

Have you ever watched a film with your friends and thought, “How wonderful!” or had a meal with your family and said, “That's was the best!”?
Well, there may be a small secret(秘密) about why you enjoyed it so much. Our experiences are stronger if we share them with someone. That means good experiences become better, and bad ones become worse. That's according to a new study by Yale University.
Scientists did a small study on female(女性) college students. In the test they share chocolate with someone they thought was another participant(參與者). But in fact, it was a scientist. In each test, they got two pieces of chocolate. They ate one piece at the same time with the “participant” and another piece alone. The participants thought the chocolate was tastier and more enjoyable when they shared it with someone. Even though both pieces of chocolate were from the same box.
Scientists then did another experiment, this time with bitter,_unpleasant chocolate. Again, the participants thought the chocolate was bitterer than the piece they ate alone.
“When people think of shared experience, what usually comes to mind is being with friends or family,” said scientist Erica Boothby. We often don't know how much people around influence(影響) our decisions, according to Erica.
However, it does show that sharing things with a friend may just make your good way a little brighter. Because the study only looked at female college students, it doesn't mean the whole(全部的) picture.
1.According to the new study ________.
A. the best film is the one you watch with your friends
B. sharing secrets with your friends can make you happier
C. the most delicious meal is the one you have with your family

2.Which of the following statements is WRONG to the test?

A. 苦味的 B. 灰色的 C. 精致的 D. 明亮的
