【題目】Have you noticed your life becoming a little easier? Now, when you go to a certain shopping mall, you can enjoy its free Wi-Fi there. When you want to take a taxi, you can book one with your phone. In fact, all these can be seen as the basic parts of a smart city.

This way, people know how they use their resources and are glad to help reduce waste.
Santander in Spain also gives us a look at the future. If people point a phone toward a nearby bus stop, the phone immediately shows all bus lines that serve the stop as well as their arrival times. 【題目】
Liu Jinyin, a young farmer in a rural area of southwest China’s Sichuan Province, has attracted nearly 100,000 followers by broadcasting (網(wǎng)絡(luò)直播) his daily life in the village. Within six months, Liu made 80,000 yuan. Some of his followers said his broadcasts reminded them of their childhood memories.
The rise of live streaming (直播的興起) has given ordinary people chances to receive more attention and make the ways they can make money.
However, vulgar (粗俗的) content and lack of originality have long been criticized (批評(píng)) by society. The broadcasts of Liu stand out because of their different content — clean content that is close to real life, such as feeding pigs, transplanting rice seedlings (插秧), and catching fish.

Liu’s parents have found it hard to accept his money earning plan and criticized their son.

Are you shy?If you are,you are not alone. In fact, close to 50percent of people are shy.Almost 80percent of people feel shy at some point in their lives. These days, shyness is becoming more and more common. Now,scientists are trying to understand shyness. They have some interesting ideas about why people are shy.
Is it possible to be born shy? Many scientists say yes. They say 15to 20percent of babies behave shyly. These babies are a little quieter and more watchful than other babies.Interestingly, these shy babies usually have shy parents. As a result, scientists think that some shyness is genetic.
Family size might cause people to be shy as well.Scientists at Harvard University studied shy children. They found that 66percent of them had older brothers and sisters. As a result, they became shy.At the same time, children with no brothers and sisters may be shy as well.Growing up alone, they often play by themselves. They are not able to learn the same social skills as children from big families.
You may also be shy because of where you were born. When scientists studied shyness in different countries. They found surprising differences. In Japan, most people said they were shy.But in Israel, only one of three people said so.What explains the difference? One scientist says the Japanese and Israelis have different opinions of failure. In Japan, when people do not succeed, they feel bad about themselves. They blame(責(zé)備)themselves for their failure. In Israel, the opposite is true.Israelis often blame failure on outside reasons, such as family, teachers, friends,or bad luck.In Israel, freedom of opinion and risk taking are strongly supported. This may be why Israelis worry less about failure and are less shy.
For shy people,it can be difficult to make friends, speak in class, and even get a good job.But scientists say you can get over your shyness. They suggest trying new things and practicing conversation. And don’t forget﹣﹣﹣if you are shy,you are not the only one.

A Passion(熱情)for Driving
It was a Friday morning, 7:30 am. I felt too lazy to drive my car, so my son booked an Uber. In five minutes, the Uber reached our door. I checked the cab number and got inside the car. I was busy searching my bag for an important paper, so I just said, “Please, go quickly! I’m in a hurry!”
