【題目】在國際會晤中,人們習(xí)慣通過握手打招呼。

In international meetings, people are____________________________________________________。

【答案】used to shaking hands to greet each other/used to greeting each other by shaking hands

【解析】

根據(jù)中英文對照可知,這里缺少的是“習(xí)慣通過握手打招呼”,英語中表達“習(xí)慣于做某事”是be used to doing sth,結(jié)構(gòu)中用動名詞作賓語,“通過”是介詞by,“握手”是shake hands,“打招呼”是greet,“互相”是each other,所以這里可以表達為used to shaking hands to greet each other,在這里用不定式表達目的,表示“為了打招呼”,也可以用介詞by連接,變成used to greeting each other by shaking hands,故答案為used to shaking hands to greet each other/used to greeting each other by shaking hands.

【題目】 Once upon a time, there lived a wise man. Everyone respected him. His son, however, was very lazy and did nothing all day.

The wise man was worried about his son’s future. One day, he said to his son, “I want you to go and find some treasure. I have drawn a map to guide you.” Then he handed his son a bag. Inside the bag were clothes, some food, a little money and the map.

The son set out on his long journey the next day. He had to travel across forests, rivers and mountains. Along the way, he met a lot of people.
