I’m Li Hua, a middle school student from China. I want to be a volunteer. I am 16 years old. At the age of 5, my father told me to learn from others. I learn about the lack of English teachers in the rural areas of western China. I am good at English and I ’m good with children, too. I think I can teach children English. I can dance and sing, I’m a good listener. At home I am kind to my grandparents. I am sure that I can make friends with the old people. At the old people’s home, I may dance and sing for them, and listen to them tell stories. I want to work on the farm because I would like to help the farmers there out. I’m writing to you so as to apply for a volunteer in a small village in the west of China.
