Many people keep small fish as pets. They keep them in a tank of water. The tank is made of clear glass. People can look through it. They can see inside the tank and watch the fish.
The fish need room. They must not be crowded. Fish need oxygen(O2) to breathe. Fish get it from water in the tank. There must be enough water for all fish. So the size of the tank is important.
In the tank many people put small plants that are good for fish. They give oxygen to the water. Plants help in other ways, too. Fish can nibble(輕咬)on the plants. They hide among the plants and sleep, lay eggs there.
The plants need light. Most fish need light too. The tank may be put near a window. It will get light there. Another place might be better, though. A window may let cold air in. The water in the tank may get too cold. The fish may die because cold water can kill them. So can hot water. The temperature must be just right.
The fish must be kept in water all the time. Some fish can jump high. They may jump out of the tank. The tank should be covered. This keeps the fish from jumping out.
The fish need food and they should be fed every day. Giving them too much food is bad. The extra(額外的)food will fall to the bottom and make the water dirty. However, the fish should get just enough food.
They should finish the food in 10 minutes. Nothing should be left. When this happens, the amount(數(shù)量)of food is right.

Thanks to endless photos on social media and the wealth of information on the Internet, future people should have a clear picture of how we lived in the 21st century.
But Martine Rothblatt, a business woman from the US, wants to go a step further by digitally cloning (克隆) human minds.
These “mindclones” would have all of our thoughts, feelings, and be able to think just like us. Rothblatt imagines that mindclones will first begin as digital (數(shù)字的) assistants(助手) in our mobile devices (裝置), until they become walking, talking versions (版本) of us – but these are far from reality at the moment.
Mindcloning technology is still very young, and it might be a long time before we can send our man-made selves to school so we don’t have to sit through math class. However, scientists at Stanford University in the United States recently created a circuit (電路) board modeled on the human brain that could simulate(模擬) 1 million neurons (神經(jīng)元) and billions of connections in the brain.
Finally, Rothblatt sees mindclones having their own rights as people, and even falling in love and getting married.
“Let’s say [the ex Apple CEO] Steve Jobs meets another mindclone. They fall in love. Mindclones are just people without bodies. Once the mindclones fall in love, they are going to get married. That’s what people do,” she said.
But Rothblatt’s idea that the digital versions of ourselves would have the same rights as people is not shared by everyone. Some people have thought that the mind must be embedded (嵌入) in biology for it to be thought as “l(fā)ife”, HuffPost reported.
1.According to Rothblatt, mindclones ______.
A. will finally become robots B. will be used in our mobile devices
C. will become reality soon D. have more rights than people
2.What is the latest development in mindcloning technology?
A. We can send our man-made selves to school.
B. People can improve their studies by using mindclones.
C. Steve Jobs and a mindclone will get married.
D. A circuit board has been modeled after a human brain.
3.What does the last paragraph mainly tell us?
A. The writer agrees with Rothblatt’s idea.
B. The writer disagrees with Rothblatt’s idea.
C. Not everyone agrees with Rothblatt about mindclones’ rights.
D. It’s meaningless to discuss the rights of “mindclones”.
