Everyone feels tired at one time or another. The office worker feels tired after a hard day at work. The sportsman feels tired after hours of physical training.

1. The explanation is that when you exercise a muscle in your body over and over again, something known as fatigue toxins (疲勞毒素) is produced. The blood system then carries these toxins throughout the body. In the end, not only does that muscle feel tired but the whole body feels tired as well.

2. Sleeping is one of the best ways to fully recharge (使恢復(fù)精力) your tired body. Most importantly, the damage caused by tired muscles is slowly being repaired when we sleep.

3. Another way to get over fatigue is by doing some activities that you enjoy. For example, after a hard day’s work, the office worker may want to go for a relaxing walk. After a long tiring day at school, the student prefers jogging to resting at home.

4. When your body is tired, one way of curing tiredness is by improving the body’s blood circulation.

5. When we take part in an activity, our blood circulation is improved.

A. When you are tired, the best thing to do is to get plenty of rest.

B. In the end, we would become more refreshed.

C. Why do people get tired?

D. Nevertheless, sleeping is not the only way to get our bodies rested.

E. This way of getting rid of tiredness does work.

Have you ever thought about what kind of job you would like to have when you grow up? Many people think that we can have only one job in our lifetime. We all know that this is not true, but quite a few people actually think this way. For example, when people choose a major (專業(yè)) in college, they think that the decisions they make now will decide their jobs for the rest of their lives. However, there are many examples where people became successful after changing their careers (職業(yè)) later in life.

J. K. Rowling, writer of the famous novel Harry Potter, was actually a school teacher before she began writing books. In fact, she was out of work before the first Harry Potter book came out.

Former US President Ronald Reagan began as an actor when he was a young man. He later decided that he wanted to do political work. This kind of passion (激情) finally led him to become President of the United States.

The famous 19th century artist Vincent Van Gogh was not a painter from the beginning. He once worked as an art salesman and later became a preacher. It was only 10 years before he died that he decided to become an artist.

Careers are always open to change. The important thing is to find what you are really good at or what you really want to do. Once you find that passion, it’s all a matter of how hard you try.
