When I was a kid, I always wanted to go camping. I was thirteen when my brother Jackie, who was twenty, finally agreed to take me on a camping trip. We decided to take a coach to the nearby town. Once we got there, we’d find a place to set up our tent and spend the night. It seemed simple!

As soon as my parents drove us to the coach station on Saturday morning, Jackie and I got on the coach happily. However, halfway to the town, my head began to ache. And it just got worse and worse. Finally, I couldn’t stand it any longer. Jackie had no choice but to get off the coach with me. He was quite disappointed.

There we were, in the middle of nowhere. We didn’t have a phone with us and neither of us knew how to get home, so we just walked. About half an hour later, we came to a small town. Luckily, there was a train station. We bought two train tickets and came to the waiting room. After the inspector(查票員) checked our tickets, I saw somebody. I said to my brother excitedly, “Jackie, look! Is that our favorite writer? The man in a blue shirt and black jeans?”

Jackie looked back and said in excitement, “Oh, yes, Tony!” Then he added, “But I don’t think we can go back to the waiting room now!”

“That's okay! At least we’ve ‘met’ him,” I said. “Now, I guess the headache isn’t that upsetting!”

Lonely old people now can buy “grandkids” by using an app named Papa. Through the app, elderly people can ask young people to come and visit them.

Elderly people, who may have lost touch with their own family, can also ask their rented(租用的) grandchildren to do chores and drive them around.

The elderly people can use Papa on the smartphone. If they don't have a smartphone, they can make a phone call. To use the service, the elderly people have to contact Papa first through either of the ways. The workers of Papa will provide advice for them for free and pair(配對) college students with them. Usually, the app costs the elderly people $15 an hour.

Most Papa Pals make about $20 to $30 per visit. The visit lasts around three hours. Andrew Parker, the founder of the service, says that Papa can also provide the service for people in need.

1.Through the app Papa, elderly people can ask young people to help with chores.

2.The elderly people without a smartphone can also enjoy the service of Papa.

3.The elderly people should pay $10 for the service per hour.

4.Most Papa Pals can make about $20 to $30 per visit.

Choose the best answer(根據(jù)短文內容,選擇最恰當?shù)拇鸢福?/p>

The word “sport” first meant something that people did in their free time. Later it often meant hunting wild animals and birds.

About a hundred years ago the word was first used for organized games. This is the usual meaning of the word today. People spend a lot of their spare time playing football, basketball, tennis and many other sports. Such people play because they want to. A few people are paid for the sport they play. These people are called professional sportsmen(職業(yè)運動員). They may be sportsmen for only few years, but during that time the best one can earn a lot of money.

For example, a professional football in England earns more than $ 30,000 a year. The stars earn lot more. International golf(高爾夫球) and tennis champions(網(wǎng)球錦標賽) can make more than $ 50,000 in a year. Of course, only few sportsmen can earn as much money as that. It is possible in sports for individuals like golf, tennis and motor-racing. Perhaps the most surprising thing about sportsmen and money is this: The stars can earn more money from advertising than from sport. An advertisement for sports equipment(運動裝備) does not simply say “Buy our thing”. It says “Buy the same shirt and shoes as ...” Famous sportsmen can even advertise things like watches and food. They allow the companies to use their names or photographs of them and they are paid for this. Sport is no longer just something for people’s spare time.
