Mary lives on North Bridge Street now. She wants to send a letter to her friend in Los Angeles,but she doesn’t know where the post office is. “Where can I find a post office?” she asks her new friend,Jane. “I want to send a letter to Los Angeles. ” “The post office is very far from here. It's near a hospital ,” Jane answers. “If you only want to post a letter or a postcard,you needn’t go to the post office. You can put them into a mailbox (由P 箱) at the street corner. ”

Mary is very happy because she doesn’t need to go to the post office.

“Why don't you send your friend an e-mail? You ne右dn’t buy stamps and you can do it at home. It's easy,quick and interesting. I can teach you how to send an e-mail ,” says Jane.

“That's a good idea!Thaíik you very much ,” Mary says. “Let's go to my house now. ”
