Last Friday my friend Deborah asked me if I would like to learn how to make tofu. I couldn't think of any good reason not to be interested in,so I said,“Yes”. So the next day I met her and other three nice people at the Hodo Soy Beanery in Oakland. I enjoyed the tour. I got a lot from the trip. The following is what I learnt.
Tofu has a history of 2,000 years. Although the word “tofu” is from Japanese, the food may come from China. There are two main kinds of tofu: soft tofu and firm tofu. In some parts of Asia, people use tofu as a kind of meat.
Douhua is one kind of soft tofu. It is a popular breakfast food in China. Because it is very soft, people can't eat it with chopsticks, but with a spoon. People often eat it as a dessert and often add spring onions and sauce to it. In Malaysia, people usually eat douhua with white or dark sugar water.

A.Last Thursday. B.Last Friday.

Ping-Pong Door
Do you want a ping-pong table in your room? But you may not have enough space. Now this door is here to help you. It can turn into a ping-pong table when you pull it down. After the ping-pong game is over, it goes back to being a common door. It was designed by Tobias Fr?nzel from Germany. Cool idea!
Dog Watch
The dog watch is actually a “clock for keeping time at a rate(比率) other than human time” and was invented in 1991. With this handy(便利的) watch, you can know time at your animal's rate instead of your own. According to the inventor, the watch multiplies(乘) every human second, minute and hour by seven, giving us “doggy time”. If a dog lives to be the age of 14, that translates into 98 human years!
Earthquake House
Big earthquakes can hit a house, possibly making the people in it get hurt. But our inventor has found a way, the Earthquake House!
His idea is simple. Build a round house that has earthquake sensors(傳感器) in it. If the sensors know the big earthquake, the house will be free from its chains(鏈條). Don't worry. You always remain upright in it. We don't recommend this for a hillside home because there aren't any brakes to stop it!
Smell This
How do you know if your breath smells nice, or if it smells bad? It's difficult to know because it's very hard to smell the air that comes out of your own mouth. Smell This is useful for this situation. You just place the mask on your face, then breathe out through your mouth and breathe in through your nose.

It’s popular to use the cell phones with cameras to catch a moment in time.A Texas schoolMagnolia Independent School,is worried that students have found another use—a way to cheat(作弊)in tests.School officials said some students could use the phones to take pictures of test questions.Another problem was that students might take improper pictures of classmates to share or post on a website later.
“Cell phones without cameras are allowed in school, but must be turned off in class.Cell phones with cameras will be confiscated(沒收) and punishing action will be taken.”officials said. Some students are not willing to obey the rule.“I’d be lost without my phone,”said Kendall Paul,a student.“All my numbers are in it.I’ve never used it to cheat and I don’t know anyone who has at our school,so I think it’s kind of stupid.”
But other students said they saw it all the time at their school.“In fact, the cell phones with cameras are popular in our school and they are very useful, especially in our tests. We would take a picture of the test, and then send it to the next person or the person in another classroom, who is taking the same test.”said Melisa Sparks,a student.“They would send the question and the answer, too. It’s quicker that way.”another student said.
